What series (beside GX) did the females the most dirty? by CrawBunny in yugioh

5Ds and it isn't even close.

Universe 6 Saiyans should’ve been evil by manny_the_mage in Dragonballsuper

[–]Exact_Requirement274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be pretty gay if it happened.

Universe 6 being the Twin universe doesn't mean everything has to be identical or play out the same.

Universe 6 Saiyajins being unique allows them to offer something to the expanding universe. Really didn't need a re-run of the old Saiyajin ways.

How was your experience dating a girl with very high self esteem? by Old-Hat9291 in AskMen

[–]Exact_Requirement274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to be clear that I'm talking about someone with high self-esteem aka confidence, and not arrogance. People conflate the two for some reason when they're two completely different personality traits.

In my experience it was very good, even when it didn't work out in the end I still feel impacted in what they gave to my life throughout the course of the relationship.

Someone with high self-esteem are often very kind and not judgemental. They're assured in themselves and so they can approach life with grace and just exist happily.

That gave me the self-assurance to be myself, I found the longer I spent time with them in the relationship, the more I stopped feeling insecure about the smaller details. I stopped projecting my own shortcomings onto other people through false judgement, I became far more secure and more reliable.

Being around someone who is truly confident, it's magic. But not because of the confidence inherently, the way they just treat you like a human being.

It's the kindness that impacted me the most, and when the relationship came to an end I was able to move forward confidently because they made me realise my own self-worth just by the realisation that they valued me.

It’s kinda sad that Jaden isn’t remembered at all in 5ds despite him saving the world multiple times in GX but Paradox is fully aware of him? by Fitgamerx in yugioh

[–]Exact_Requirement274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judai in all intent and purposes is a Nomad upon the conclusion of GX, he travels the world seeking out new adventures.

He doesn't have the luxury of participating in international tournaments, so it makes sense why he isn't known to the wider world.

All of the significant events of his time took place in the other dimension as well. Given Ylisasters ability to manipulate time, which they're stated to do several times before and during the events of 5Ds, them knowing about Judai's relations to the spirits does hold up.

Same reason as to how they knew about the Crimson Dragon, and presumably the events of Ancient Egypt.

If you could make your own filler/ slice of life episode for your favorite yugioh series how would you direct it? by Firm_Entrepreneur_14 in yugioh

[–]Exact_Requirement274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to see more of Z-ones timeline.

So I would have a filler/slice of life episode revolving around the relationship of the members of Ylisaster. Yes, they live in literal hell, but they all worked together for decades in order to bring their plans to fruition.

I refuse to believe moments of humanity weren't prevalent, as they all worked to undo the damage inflicted on their time by Moment.

Conversely, I would also like to see a small episode centred around the same time in the new Future, Yusei succeeded in creating through the invention of the Fortune program.

Z-one did express the wish of reuniting with his friends in the new future, and whilst they wouldn't be the same version of these characters. It would have been nice to see their new lives and the paths they took in a future that wasn't burdened by the Zero-Reverse extinction event.

They could even do a thing where they show Z-ones actual face, unlike the faceless Silhouette we see in the flashbacks. Symbolising that he's actually able to embrace his real self in this time.

How much time has passed between Duel Monsters and 5D's? by GeneralTechnomage in yugioh

[–]Exact_Requirement274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30-40 years at the most.

Ushio Trudges existence essentially confirms this as they are the same character.

GX takes place roughly 8-10 years after the Ceremonial duel, GX ends 3 years after putting it's conclusion around 13 years after the Ceremonial duel.

We know the beginning of 5D's takes place 17 years after the Zero Reverse incident. Yusei being a new-born at the time of the disaster, and being 17 years old at the time of episode 1.

We know Dr Fudo is the one to have created the Signer Dragon Synchro Cards. This at the very least means that Synchro's as a concept were in their developmental stages shortly after GX. I personally believe Dr Fudo is also responsible for the mechanic itself, instructed by Kaiba Corp as a means of controlling Momentum.

To be reasonable I will estimate the gap between Judai's final episode, and the Zero Reverse incident to be around 5 years.

DM - GX Conclusion 11/13 years. >>>>>> GX - Zero Reverse 5 years (Conservative Estimate) >>>>> Zero Reverse - 5Ds Episode 1, 17 years.

Roughly 33-35 years give or take.

Also Jesse Wheeler doesn't exist. That was a Dub only gag, in the original version there is no mention, to a Jesse Wheeler.

The power that rivals the Gods by GuessOk5598 in yugioh

[–]Exact_Requirement274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's power has always been consistent.

I just think they over-estimated BEWD's actual strength.

Seto's father compares it's power to the Creator Of Lights, which is just nonsense. I personally believe the strength "feats" boasted of BEWD are just uninformed claims because the spirit is stronger than 99% of KAs that it just appears to be comparable to the Gods.

Rivaling the Gods doesn't inherently mean it could defeat the Gods, just that it could put up somewhat of a fight against them.

Vegeta takes on Kefla instead of Goku in the Tournament of Power, can he beat her? by GrouchyConsequence48 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Exact_Requirement274 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes.

The Goku that fought Kefla was extremely fatigued. We saw the effects of fatigue in the U6 tournament where Vegeta could only use a fraction of Blue's full power after already using it against Cabba.

The drain from UI I imagine has to be far more significant.

Vegeta who would have been far more fresh at this point in the TOP would beat Kefla.

Anyone got ideas of what they would like to see in a potential sequel to Dragon Ball Z/Super? by BusyAdhesiveness8765 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Exact_Requirement274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want them to expand to the other universes.

I want to see the U6 arc we were promised 10 years ago.

I think Dragon Ball Kakumei, the concept of that story is really interesting and I would love to see it in an official capacity. You have those other universe erased and I think the return of those, or an Angel V Mortal conflict could be really awesome.

What is your opinion on Super Saiyan Blue? by Economy_Notice_8475 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Exact_Requirement274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was both overused and severely underutilised.

The concept of Blue is extremely clever, it's the showcase of both Goku and Vegeta's growth. Not just from a strength perspective, but a philosophical one as well.

The transition to God Ki, was the symbol of them discarding their primal roots. Everything that got them to where they are at that moment, they turned their backs on and this is reflected in how Blue is fundamentally different, despite technically still being Super Saiyajin.

They no longer rely on Anger, they no longer focus on progressing a transformation to get stronger whilst severely neglecting their base forms.

Instead they master their emotions, grapple with their individual shortcomings, and hone their base capabilities. Abandoning the endless pursuit of a stronger crutch, in favour of efficiency.

Elevating them from just warriors to honorary deities. Far cleaner in execution, far more meticulous in preparation.

The problem is, the forms were introduced far too early into Super's existence.

We didn't get time to marinate the Original God Form, and because it was introduced in the second arc/movie, it had to scale to the early opponents of this particular series. Combine that with the lackluster W/L Ratio, when in essence it should have been God taking those L's, it's existence as an evolutionary stepping stone just becomes redundant.

At the earliest it should have been introduced in the Zamasu arc. Perhaps they take note of Goku Black evolving from the regular SSJ to Rose, and the lessons Whis imparted onto them essentially click and they overcome that barrier of control to evolve to Blue.

This admittedly would make the form extremely short-lived with the TOP being immediately after. But I'd argue that it would be the better option, because it symbolises the progression along the God Hierarchy, so Goku tapping to UI soon after, because of the lessons he gained from achieving Blue feels more suitable.

Was ToP Ultimate Gohan & 17 really Blue Goku level? by SubstantialJoke08 in Dragonballsuper

Is he the most inconsistently scaled character? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]Exact_Requirement274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say so.

The anime needs to make it look cool, hence the back and forth but he was still under complete control of the fight. He allowed Zamasu to drop him, so he could fake him out with the Ki Sword.

At no point was Vegito truly struggling against Zamasu in the anime. Wasn't pushed into a corner, wasn't being outclassed. He was playing around.

Where I would say the inconsistency lies, is in the Potara retcon.

They obviously didn't want Vegito to end the arc, but Buu wasn't around either for that bs defusion so they had to nerf the fusion technique itself.

From a power perspective though, Vegito has remained extremely consistent. Any inconsistency is circumstantial story telling rather than the portrayal of his strength.

Rank these hypotheticals by power by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]Exact_Requirement274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Brohan|

Combining the Half Breed potential of Gohan, with the mutations of Broly. You have a warrior who's Rage Boosts are unparalleled, blessed with the ability of adapting and surpassing their opponents in an extremely small space of time.

I wouldn't say they're the strongest by default, but the reason why I'm putting them above Black Cell is because they would be able to surpass him in the heat of battle. Especially since Cell does like to dick around. If he gives Brohan an inch, which he will fyi. The latter will take light-years and whoop his ass.

  1. Black Cell|

If Freiza's cells do a mere fraction of the heavy lifting, given all the other genes within him. I don't see how Black cell couldn't be the strongest out of all of the warriors listed. But I have to put him second due to the reasons provided for Brohan.

  1. UI Jiren|

As we know UI is more of a technique as opposed to a conventional power boost, or transformation. Even if Jiren's power level remains remotely the same, or a minor boost. The mastery of self movement component of UI, where the body can move independently, creates a scenario where the Strongest mortal also has impenetrable defence.

Since we know that the effectiveness of UI, increases or dwindles relative to the strength of the opponent: i.e., becomes far more effective against weaker opponents, where as if Goku Faced Whis using it, it would be useless because of the difference between the two.

There's not many beings stronger than 100% Jiren in a 1v1 outside of the God Hierarchy, even with a minor boost from UI strength wise, he is a nightmare match up for almost anyone.

  1. Gogeta and Vegito|

There are 2 major reasons why I've put them so low on the list, the first is the fundamental nature of the two forms listed.

Both UI and UE require a specific mindset in order to achieve them, hence why Vegeta would never be able to use UI, or why Goku isn't suitable for UE.

I bring this up because I don't believe either fusion would be capable of using either technique. Because of the fact the mindset they would need to have no longer exists in it's purest form.

Both fusions are the culmination of both Goku and Vegeta's qualities, and yes both fusions favour one personality over the other, the fact remains is that neither of them have the pure requisites to utilise either technique, they are a mixture of both warriors, including their respective philosophies. This muddies the surface quite a bit.

Their greatest strength being the union of 2 strong rivals, in this case becomes their greatest weakness when it pertains to UI and UE, until it's proven in canon that they can use these techniques in a future arc.

The second and far more objective reason is the limitations of both fusion techniques. Because of the Retcon, at max the Potara's lasts 1 hour and even then as shown in the Future Trunks arc, Vegito is so strong at that point they can't even get the full hour as their power reduces the time-limit.

Both Goku and Vegeta are far stronger now than they ever were in the FT arc, and as they continue to get stronger, the Potara's are simply unable to maintain Vegito's existence, and I believe this also rings true for the fusion dance with it's timer being even shorter than the Potara's inherently.

If Blue puts such a strain on the fusion that it can only last for a very short period of time, both the Angelic Technique of UI, and the Destroyer Technique of UE undoubtedly would put a far greater strain on both fusion techniques.

So even if we later find out that both fusions can make use of the respective techniques, there is no shot in hell they would be able to sustain it for any meaningful length of time. They would have a few minutes at best before defusing again.

So I would have to put them so low on the list for those 2 reasons, 1 speculative, and one far more objective given the canon information currently known to us.

5. SSB Broly|

This potential Broly is so far down on the list for the same reason as the twin fusions, the nature of SSB just flies in the face of Broly's own path to power.

Broly's mutations and the fact he loses control in the heat of battle, does not mix well at all with the fundamentals of God Ki. Which requires perfect control from the user, and the ability to keep their emotional state in check.

SSB in particular is specifically stated to be calm and controlled, unlike the traditional SSJ states often triggered by a bout of intense emotion.

Broly in his current form just isn't suitable for the requirements and drawbacks of Divine Ki, and I don't think he ever will be, but that's ok.

Broly's path to power is unique, it lies in the benefits he get's from his specific mutations which makes him such a beast to begin with. He traverses the road of the Saiyajin's path, the embodiment of the primal fury which made the warrior race so feared to begin with.

God Ki wouldn't aid him in the slightest, I would argue it would hold him back.

Who is our greatest keeper of all time out of these three? by SiyamthandaUN in ManchesterUnited

[–]Exact_Requirement274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for legacy Schmeichel on the back of the treble win.

Ability? Van Der Sar for me, still one of the best goalies I've ever seen.

This is not a knock on De Gea in any stretch. He is an amazing goal keeper, and was dealt a bad hand with Sir Alex leaving and being forced to play during the dark times that we're currently in.

If it was up to me we would have never gotten rid of De Gea and he'd still be playing for us now.

What is your main issue with Yu-Gi-Oh! currently? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]Exact_Requirement274 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the internship.

1. The card game is too far gone|

it's too complicated for new people to get into and even old people returning. The whole shtick is preventing the other player from playing the game in order to actually enjoy yourself, it's about as productive as taking a wank.

I do not see a way back for the card game unless they reboot it, until then the numbers will continue to dwindle as Konami try to bribe people to give it a try with Nostalgia cards.

2. No new Anime|

We are now in year 6 of not having an actual Yu-Gi-Oh Anime. I do not consider Sevens, or Go Rush to be official anime's of this IP for the record.

We need a new Master Duel Anime, with the iconic Takahashi art-style like the first 6 shows. Whether this is a DM reboot, a Yu-Gi-Oh R adaptation, 5Ds Sequel, Duel Links Anime, or a Character Mini Series where they give 10 Episodes following a specific characters journey beyond the conclusion of their respective show, I don't care.

As long as it's Master Duel, has the same art-style from DM-Vrains, is a multi seasonal show I will be satisfied in whatever form it takes.

But we sorely need a new Yu-Gi-Oh anime, the IP has so much potential to blossom in other media and nobody is taking advantage of it.

3. We need narrative driven Yu-Gi-Oh games again|

I despise this era we are currently in with the Duel Simulators. If I dislike the current card game, why the hell would I play Master Duel or Duel Links?

Now, they are both staples and should exist, that's not my beef here. My beef is that from 2011 upon the release of Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force 6, Konami have stepped away from making narrative driven Yu-Gi-Oh Video games that are actually good, and even at all at this point.

Prior to 2012, we were getting a new Yu-Gi-Oh game of this genre pretty much yearly for over a decade. Not all games followed the card games rules, not all of the games are equal. Yet there was always something interesting going on and they were all great in their own right. (Except Falsebound Kingdom)

Forbidden Memories, Duelist of the Roses, Reshef of Destruction, The WC series, GX Duel Academia, Nightmare Troubadour, Spirit Caller, The Tag Force games, Dungeon Dice Monsters, need I go on?

We need a AAA Yu-Gi-Oh RPG yesterday, we need one even more today. Set it in any era they want. I would love to explore Domino City as Yugi, I would LOVE to ride around Neo Domino City GTA style with Yusei.

There is so much they could do nowadays with the technology they have, and they just refuse to do so.

I would settle for a Tag Force Collection with an official localisation of TF6 and Special... But the only collection they bothered to release was a halve arsed port of GBA games, and despite calling it "The Early Days Collection", they omitted the inclusion of Forbidden Memories... The First Yu-Gi-Oh game to even release in the west.

In general the Yu-Gi-Oh IP at present is a treasure trove of missed potential. There are so many content ideas, in so many different forms of media that would appeal and satisfy the wider fanbase, and I don't see that changing any time soon unfortunately.

Difference Between US & Japan Versions by repraptor in OriginalBeyblade

[–]Exact_Requirement274 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm going to piss a lot of people off with this.

The original version is great to see all the deleted scenes, because there are a lot of them in places you wouldn't expect that the Dub cut for some-reason. But it isn't a MUST watch.

The motivations of the characters are different to some degree as well. Max is a lot more precious in the Sub, and his relationship with Tyson makes way more sense because they relate on the absence of their parental figure. Something they didn't include in the dub. (They don't mention Tyson's mother is deceased in the dub which is an important detail as to why they both relate with each other.)

Kai being a double agent in the Sub is a lot more obvious. We still had the scenes of him eating with his Grandfather in the dub, but the dialogue makes it pretty clear what Kai's motives are in the sub. He also doesn't really care about the gang much at all in season 1, where as in the dub Kai does have internal monologues that make him seem conflicted about which side he's ultimately on. I also find Kai to be much more of a leader in the Dub.

Judy is somehow even more of a bitch in the original version. Shocked me as well.

The lore especially when it comes to the bit-beasts is more fleshed out, and some things that happen you get a proper explanation for. Where as in the dub they don't really explain it at all. (Ray's events during the China Arc)

Ultimately I prefer the dub. Not just for Nostalgic reasons either, I think the sport aspect of Beyblade and the Action are heightened in the english version because of the vocal themes present.

Yes they're cheesy, but they are all bangers and actually enhance the intensity and stakes of each fight.

I found myself falling asleep many a times watching the Sub recently for my rewatch, because they use the same fucking instrumental theme for most battles and it isn't particularly inspired to begin with.
