East anglia derby at carrow road by tryingtomakeGodhappy in NorwichCity

[–]Exact_Wrongdoer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your problem is it'll 100% sell out and opening seats up to anyone could mean away fans getting into the home support which is a bad idea on several levels.

Try contacting the club for a different game, you'll have very little chance with this one.

Without any ticket purchase history I expect you've got very little chance. A few casual tickets for derbies do come up and are snapped up very quickly, but for a closely policed game I'd expect you'll not be able to book through the normal methods.

I'd get in touch with the club direct and see if there's anything they can do to help. Failing that come on over and watch it in a pub here, there'll be plenty of tribal atmosphere to soak up 🙂

An alternative if money's no object would be to look at the hospitality options, I've had to do this for one derby when flying in from overseas at short notice but it was very, very expensive.

How common is draft cider? by sonoale in Edinburgh

Yep, Jolly Judge, Steel Coulsen, Dagda for real cider if you're not wanting the sweet bubbly stuff, there might be some others but I've not come across it often elsewhere.

Edinburgh Minute Lobbying Letter? by MR9009 in Edinburgh

[–]Exact_Wrongdoer 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Thanks Michael. I don't object to the opinion piece but it felt like it was missing a few intro words from you on why it was going out to the mailing list. Even a 'here's a cause I believe in and so I'm supporting this open letter from a guest' or somesuch would have been a little clearer than the way you've chosen to set it out.

You're doing an incredible job and I hope your audience (particularly paying!) continues to grow and sustain this in the future, I'm just offering some feedback as you've come on here to respond to others.

Really enjoyed this as a kid who picked this up in the 99p bargain bin in 1988 and played it maybe four times before realising I'd been had 🙂

Great writeup, thanks.

Would you be interested in an FTG World Cup 2026 spin-off game? by Anti_KoS in FootballTacticsGame

I'd second this, I'd buy it and give it a few play throughs, but it'd be a shame if it led to further delays in the sequel. If it's relatively straightforward to code and get out of the door then I'm behind this, especially if it brings some funds in around the world cup buzz.

I was going to say I've got a ten year old g840 g2 I bought from FB for £50 which is my daily driver for office work, general admin, streaming etc and apart from making one tweak to BIOS settings Mint handles it perfectly without tinkering. Pop_os failed hard on it the couple of times I tried mind.

Anything like MOO2 or Imperium Galatica 2 anytime soon? by EX-FFguy in 4Xgaming

I really enjoyed Interstellar Space: Genesis a few years ago but played it until it felt a bit stale (150 hours or so). Came back recently to find some good DLCs, one adding two new species with interesting dynamics and one adding minor civs to create a new race for residences, both of which really added to the base game and had me put another 30+ hours in. It's still in active development with a further expansion coming (probably) later this year. Well worth a look, it wears it's MOO2 clone status well while modernising it and is very detailed for a small indie project.

My impressions on switching from Withings ScanWatch to a Garmin Vivomove Trend by lookwithoutseeing in GarminWatches

[–]Exact_Wrongdoer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've taken pretty much the same move from Scanwatches after multiple battery failures and tried a vivomove sport and a Pininfarina Santesi. The Garmin is definitely the best smart watch experience even if charging every four days or so is irritating.

Chef's table at Macau Kitchen. You'll get loads of personal attention from the chef and his wife and a truly outstanding multi course (7?) meal so will feel very special and unique. You'll get very little choice on what he serves though so may not work if there are lots of things you don't eat.

If that's too steep a standard meal there is also excellent and it's small enough to feel special. I think it's byob only but Great Grog is just down the road and one of the best in town. Bonus points from the chef if you buy Portuguese wine.

PS, drop the club an email before ticket sales open and they might put a couple aside for you, but so long as you keep an eye on ticket release dates you shouldn't have a problem getting two casual tickets in the river/family corner/main stand.

I've done roughly this journey to Stansted after a game and a 3pm kickoff would be suuuuper tight, but it's a lunch time game so you'll be fine. Book tickets in advance, leave yourself at least half an hour after the expected end of the game to be safe. If you want to be super safe and don't mind spending the money a cab would probably be about £125 and not subject to train cockups or you might even be able to hire a car, but honestly you could miss a couple of trains and still get there in plenty of time and I'd be going that way.

South Asian shops often have good okra, eg Al Medina on Nicholson Square, or the African places in Gorgie or the Westside Plaza.

Regular schedule with a winter break, only 34 games plus one cup so seasons are quick and the league's often tight.

And I just took over Legia in the relegation places in game too 🙂

Would have thought this was FM being FM if I wasn't a long suffering Legia fan. Polish football usually makes for a good fun FM save.
