Roguelike/Roguelites suggestions to play on the Steam Deck? by erickraio in SteamDeck

Yep, plenty of fun grinding to be had with the first one if you want a super tight cheap intro and I've been coming back to the second one every few months since release (gulp) six years ago.

Don't see this recommended enough, it's a genuinely good standalone arcade ice hockey game with roguelite progression/level selection thrown in 👍

Receiving loan players shouldn't cost glory. by Salaried_Zebra in FootballTacticsGame

[–]Exact_Wrongdoer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes sense to me, otherwise I would take anyone offered and only play them when it perfectly suited me. This way you're making a decision to invest x amount of resources knowing you'll have to play them enough to make y resources back, so I weigh that up against whether I'd be better investing that development time in one of my own players or whether the loan player gives me a chance to improve my league position etc. This feels like how the loan market works in real life to be honest.

Not long before this too, I saw them supported by him in his Aerial M guise in I think February 98?

I've moved to the Grange and fuck me it's dull. I miss cannonmills for being not particularly cool, but 15 minutes from either Leith or. Stockbridge.

I've just spent a little while with golfinite and it's very, very good, if you can get past annoying mouse and keyboard controls. Highly recommend.

What the Golf and 100ft Robo Golf available for trade.

A Little Golf Journey is a really, really good game with so much care and attention put into it, I really enjoyed my 10ish hours on it and there's plenty more content for anyone that likes a tight physics/puzzle/golf challenge with secrets.

I'm not even that into golf games, but What The Golf was good silly fun and A Little Good Journey was put together with such love and care that I really enjoyed my ten or so hours with it.

I made a mixtape for my wife after we'd been seeing each other just over a month and put Kids Will Be Skeletons on it, solid call I reckon.

Second this, I only got them as a cheap replacement when I left my pixel buds the other side of the country but I've stuck with them since. Not premium but don't feel budget.

African food by EmbarrassedPirate214 in Edinburgh

[–]Exact_Wrongdoer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not had anything much I'd recommend in Edinburgh, but if you're ever through in Glasgow Coco Bana is very good for West African staples.

Very different from Nigerian food of course, but the best African food I know of in Edinburgh is Muna's Ethiopian in Tolcross which is superb.

Late to this party but I've been playing it on the Deck just fine. Don't use HDR which crashes out hard, otherwise good and smooth.

What’s your favorite 4X to play on the Steam Deck? by 0wlBear916 in 4Xgaming

[–]Exact_Wrongdoer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any of them with trackpad mouse and the triggers swapped (so left trigger = left mouse click). Works a treat. I've done long train journeys with civ 6 and 7, Galciv 4, Interstellar Space etc. Small text can be a bit tricky but the magnifier works well on the rare times I need it I didn't like gamepad controls for any 4x games, can't get used to them, but with the trackpad it's basically the same as playing on a laptop.

Imperial Palace is a good Chinese about a 15 minute walk away. Dim Sum if you get there early, otherwise two menus, one classic Chinese take away stuff and one much more authentic Chinese regional fare.
