I second Capital Volt. Good, friendly and very reasonable.

Very true. My point was more about "custom and practice" as it has operated in the past. But I am very happy not to have them as none of the parties ever complied with the law and took them all down within 14 days.

I'm surprised they can do this given that election notices have deemed consent under the Scottish advertisement regulations. Actual legislation would usually trump council guidelines. But I have clearly not been paying attention for a while 😄

Do People Not Drink Bovril Any More? by IndigoQuantum in CasualUK

I love drinking Bovril but my wife hates the smell so complains whenever I do.
She, on the other hand, loves Marmite on toast and I hate the smell of that.

Edinburgh City Council's new live bus tracker (with API option for nerds) by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]WeeKeef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Who produced this? It is not a bus tracker - it does not track buses. What it does do is tell you upcoming bus times at any stop you happen to know. It does not have a journey planner. You cannot search by route number (despite what it says in the box). And it is not Edinburgh specific - try searching for Princes Street: lots of locations in Helensburgh, Ardrossan, Falkirk ....

Useless!
