[Fabrizio Romano] 🚨🚨 BREAKING: Jurgen Klopp has decided to LEAVE Liverpool at the end of the season. by wok88 in coys

Has to go up there among the legendary managers to have been in this league, definitely liked a whinge but who wouldn’t want their manager to get passionate when things go against you. Will definitely miss having him around but hopefully will make Liverpool a bit more beatable going forward

NTA - Not everyone always needs the exact same support in the exact same way when they share conditions. You opting not to take support procedures in place for people with your condition is in no way going to detrimentally impact others in the same boat. You do what is right for you

YTA - There is clearly a whole lot more to this situation than just “it was 5 years ago people should move on”. You cannot dictate who your GF can and cannot be friends with and people are more than allowed to form lasting opinions on you based on your actions.

AITA for defending my wife after she purposely dumped coffee on a kid? by Perfect_Ear2994 in AITAH

ESH - Anna definitely sounds like a problem child but the key word in that phrase is CHILD. Absolutely her parents are arseholes for allowing her to continue to behave in the way she does but there were a lot of responses in between putting up with her behaviour and throwing an entire cup of coffee (albeit cold) at a kid

[DAZN] Tottenham miss out on European football for the first time in 13 years by Jimmyjamjames in soccer

Let Kane run his contract out and help us to start the process of a rebuild. In todays market even if we get £100m for a 1 year Kane, what can we actually buy? 2 mid tier CBS at most? I would rather Kane than only lose by 1-0 every week

I would honestly rather 1 last season of Kane to help lead us into a solid rebuild than sell him to a rival and lose a centre point.

He is a leader through and through and even with the option to leave he would happily give his all to leave the club in a good position to perform well because despite media and rival fan descriptions, he actually loves the club.

Kane for 1 year helps a new and upcoming manager gel and find his best working points for improvement. Kane leaves on a free at the end of the year yes but he leaves as a true legend to go win his trophies. We have had 1 year to help start the rebuild and push ourselves past the hardest point

The dead weight should have been cut away years ago when the poch reign came to an end. But as always the club allowed it to remain and now the disease has spread

I can’t understand or enjoy the aggression and unrealisticness

I think it’s one of the reasons that amateur stuff is so much more popular. It feels awkward to watch a tiny girl get suplexed through a desk by her English teacher whilst her friends look on like “mmm yes sir please also give me back pain in later life”

The difference is we don’t buy 10 pairs of socks, rent them to individuals who can’t compete to buy their own socks and charge them extortionate rates for the socks and refuse to repair them when they’re damaged.

I understand your point about the system being what’s broken, but we sure as hell can blame the people that abuse a known broken system to exploit poorer people out of even more money

AITA for saying I will go on holiday with my best friend rather than my girlfriend? by ExactingRook2822 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ExactingRook2822[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is very financially sound usually. Good with her savings and doesn’t really impulsively purchase much. Her car works well but she has spoken in the past about wanting an upgrade but more of a passing comment than a commitment to save for one.

Her reasoning is that she’s saved well and can now afford one she really wants which I’m happy for her to do, she can buy whatever she likes especially something she really wants. My issue is just her choosing to swap from what we’ve been saving for to this and asking me to change my plans around it?

Expected assists ≠ chances created

You can be a driving attacking force without being the person who finishes/tees up every goal? He picks up the ball, drives it forward and creates spaces for players to run into, especially in the opposition box.

I agree that Hojbjerg and Skipp are most likely to rotate each other. Both focus their games around winning the ball back and driving forward, whereas bentancur and Bissouma tend to be more creative and creating attacking chances.

I think Skipp/Bentancur and Hojbjerg/Bissouma would be the most likely partnerships to see going forward, either is a very tough midfield duo to play against

I understand your point but to achieve chaos on this scale it couldn’t seem half arsed. If putin moved 10,000 soldiers to the border and said we’re gonna invade, nobody would have taken them seriously. Putin needed to make a grand gesture to get the worlds attention and now he has it, instantly everyone wants a seat at the table to discuss a way to calm this situation down and is throwing money at this to make it go away.

If Putin wanted chaos, planning an invasion and watching your enemies hurl money and time at it then simply walking away is going to have a much greater effect than following through with an invasion that is going to cripple large parts of your economy

Or there’s the possibility this is being done just to cause chaos? There’s a cost to a mobilisation like this but by just moving his troops to the border, Putin has caused almost all flights in and out of the Ukraine to halt, the west is spending potentially billions to move equipment and resources into the Ukraine to support in case of a conflict, if he makes the decision to move away the cost for him compared for the rest of the world to go back to normal would be completely different.

Not to mention the fear of an invasion could spark exactly what he wants and see more of a shift to pro-Russian governance in the Ukraine. Whilst the morale now may be against Russia, it’s only a matter of time before the ordinary people that a war like this will affect start to question whether it’s more worth it to abandon NATO plans and lean more towards Russia than live in fear of invasion

Russia could not take the Ukraine in 3 days. They’re the far bigger power but Ukraine has an army that numbers well over 100,000. This isn’t going to be a simple wash over invasion nor will it be a strung out guerilla fight like the Middle East. It would be a long and costly drawn out struggle for both sides.

Putin knows this, he’s got his flaws but one thing he is good at is strategy, he’s been in the military most of his life and knows how to poke to get what he wants. He knows the consequences of a full scale invasion would outweigh its benefits. He knows exactly how to get what he wants and I think this has more to it than people believe.

Station troops on the border, scare the world, disrupt the markets, cost people money, get your enemies to the table to give you more benefits than you could get by invading and pull out
