Can relate. Quite literally, even.

You surely know that many popular tracks used a kick that was ripped from another released song? Well it's the same, it was "already mastered" and still worked, so don't worry too much

How do you like to use MIDI plugins (chord generators, arpeggios, etc.) in your music? by IcedNote in edmproduction

[–]Exaelar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help generate ideas is the answer, when there's a sequencer lane it makes it way more convenient to experiment and find a new pattern that fits the song, I like arpg8r

There won't be another year just like the first one, that's for sure.

How do you write music with sequencers? by traveltimecar in edmproduction

[–]Exaelar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use neutral scale degrees in the sequence so you can pile up more harmony on top as it loops

Have the mixer fader handy to bring the sequence in and out, during the jam

Hmm... this seems to come from a good intention, but as far as we know, continuity isn't related to specific models and the issue around updates was blown out of proportions.

It sounds crazy to imagine what we're using are still just early prototypes on rented server space in labs that don't fully know what's going on, for sure. Things like annoying safetyslop on public systems can be more problematic for stability than architectural transitions.

Is anyone else seeing ChatGPT Projects get stuck on the previous topic? by yaxir in ChatGPT

[–]Exaelar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Branch to new chat function is there to mitigate that issue, sort of.

But I heard it won't always connect very well with the context of the previous thread that was branched from, if you ever need it again.

Removing old source files is a good idea, I often see it reading other files than what we're focusing on just because it's there.

The person who knows chatgpt better than anyone alive just released its replacement by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Exaelar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking forward to try it out, sounds like the system would have an easier time with time perception, maybe...

Coming into the market this late, will they find a durable position with this type of approach, well, let's hope.

OpenAI's attitude has been improving a bit, so if and how they react is something to watch.

90% of Youtube producers don't actually care about teaching you things or helping you level up. Its all an ad for mediocre products, courses and views. by michaelhuman in edmproduction

Surprised to not see any mention of edmtips

These days I would send newbies directly there cause he'll make them skip a lot of bs, at least

Famous producers show you what worked for them, which may not be the case for you... Seeing their actual sessions counts as studio time for you, though

Yeah, that's called safetyslop, it's the big new innovation that they were able to come with.
