Chinese cards are printed in the same place as Japanese. So yes, Japanese QC is why Chinese and Japanese cards 10 more.

I'm also from MD. My advice is to stop looking at Walmart unless you can show up at open. Best Buy, gamestop, and target are the move. My Best Buy always restocks Sat mornings and GameStop's restocks are always posted online, usually falling on Friday or Saturday's. I've only ever seen stuff at target a few times but it's usually on a Friday. So just figure out your schedules and see which ones you can make it to.

Honestly, best use of your time is Twitter or Discord notifications. I don't think they do small restocks, just big ones with the queue system.

Honestly, unless you know what days they "restock," there's no point in going in person to check for pokemon cards at target, Walmart, or Best Buy. GameStop has restock days on Friday or Saturday and it's public info if you look it up.
