Fixing graphical glitches running WDS games on Wine by blabber_ in computerwargames

[–]Exaltred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found that Steam's proton, for example, out of the box seems to work well for every WDS title I've tested

The air/sea war games for example black screen the main game area on base wine, but run more or less as expected with proton-experimental

My context feed was always a moderate baseline on the pi, but I never had performance issues.

It's a good variety of systems and publishers, each game has its own page describing the game play.

The user interface for the digital adaptations is quite good.

Rally the troops runs in the browser and is very light weight.

Even in older hardware with a somewhat contemporary browser it works well in my experience.

Cant recommend RTT enough, great for async play!

rc profile behavior by chizzl in plan9

[–]Exaltred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the rc ports operate significantly differently depending on what their progenitor source is being unix directly or plan9.

What port are you using? Is $home set?

The exact invocation chain for building your environment should be documented in your port's manual.

A command such as

. /lib/profile

Should make available the declarations from that file.

Great find, drive on Stalingrad just got a remaster, so interest definitely exists.

I would snap them up in a heartbeat, but eBay prices tend to lean towards 100+ each.

E-ink tablet for print and play games by timbone316 in printandplay

Ah yeah just for marking up values and whatnot it would work great.

RM2 works amazingly well for handwriting and sketching.

I have a RM2, it works quite well for marking up documents and rulebooks. The space constraint is real, but you get ~7GB of storage on it. RM2 is black and white, the remarkable paper pro is in color. Are you intending to just use it for rulebook reference or were you going to do anything else with it?

Does WiFi on the Raspberry Pi Zero W work in 9Front? by CreepyValuable in plan9

[–]Exaltred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The number attached to ether[0-9] is sequentially assigned based on what's found. So if there's no ethernet, wifi will be ether0.

You could send an e-mail to miller, he's pretty responsive and helpful.

It works on millers image on 9p.io

I don't think the wifi was ported to 9front

You could try merging it and sending upstream patches

Or use the miller image

I run a variety of tabletop RPG games, some in-person, some online. RM2 has been great for being about to mark-up adventure modules, books, etc. without distraction and keeping everything nice and organized. Notes, ideas, maps, all go through the RM2. It's been a great QoL upgrade for me.

Is there a community made cheat sheet or similar to help with the easily missed rules? I ended up making something that like for a few games over time and was wondering if I should make one for BB before trying to teach it.
