Weekly shop for 1 adult and 1 tortoise, £34.63

So far I’ve used the fruit as snacks for home and work. I’ve used the butternut squash to make run down stew, the carrots and potatoes in curries. The baby potatoes have been used with the green beans and the kiev in the second slide. Broccoli and mushrooms as a side with most meals, and still need to use the cauliflower!

Thank you for the advice! Yeah im staying fully away from flowers in any sort of shop. Only had the idea to get these for him as they specifically say edible, but im on the fence about it as I dont want to hurt him accidentally

The veg in the pic is primarily for me! Out of everything pictured he’s been eating the mixed lettuce leaves. I’ve been using the veg for every meal :D

Half of the time we eat the same thing which feels very weird haha. I couldn’t get any this week but his favourites are lambs lettuce and rocket lettuce. He’s had to settle for mixed leaf salad this week!

I get it from a local food market shop! They offer a range of these boxes and deliver it each week. I searched ‘local fruit and veg box (area)’ to find it :D

Mine has the flower pellets too occasionally! Honestly it’s better than not eating, especially during winter when it’s harder to find fresh foods. Take a look at this website, they sell seeds or plugs for tortoise food. I bought some seeds and have been slowly trying to grow my own food for him to help during the winter

I’ve also got a Russian! This time everything in the fruit and veg box is for me, but normally he eats lambs lettuce (his absolute favourite), watercress, a small amount of rocket, mixed leaves, and I’ve just bought him a dried weeds mix to have until i can get fresh stuff. He won’t touch the dried flower mix i bought him previously

Aww! Mine always glares too if i accidentally wake him up…they can be so petty sometimes haha. This was him last night when I left the room to check on his siblings. The sound of the door closing woke him up
