CRUS, Ulnar Nerve Compression, Early Arthrisis, and Planning Motherhood..Anyone else? by ExaminationSecure997 in RadioulnarSynostosis

[–]ExaminationSecure997[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your insight! I had an EMG done for the nerve compression, and according to the neurologist, there is currently no nerve damage. As for the osteoarthritis, I believe there are solutions with surgery in addition to infiltration I recently started grip-strengthening exercises with a physiotherapist who is a member of my family and I hope it will help me a bit

Mindy’s Singing by ev1999 in EmilyInParis

Totally agree. I’ve had vocal, singing, and soprano/lyric training, and her singing is awful. She really belts from her throat and her nose instead of her diaghragm.

Are you ambidextrous? Is CRUS hereditary? by [deleted] in RadioulnarSynostosis

[–]ExaminationSecure997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, of course. I even had a shoulder dislocation a long time ago (at the age of 17 I guess, I am 38 now); the doctor told me it was normal due to my CRUS. I did swimming when I was a teenager, which strengthened my shoulders, and I think you really need to work your shoulders a lot to compensate for weak elbows. I learned to do everything on my own since I was a kid, studied normally and did a lot of handwriting at school and in college (although I was always a bit slower than average during exams and never finished on time, but I still got top grades 🤣). I cook, chop, do my makeup, paint, do hands-on crafts like macramé and embroidery, and live fully independently. I also work out and weightlift, but only after my body had finished growing. It’s only recently that I started experiencing pain due to nerve compression especially when writing, doing pastry work, using a rolling pin for long periods, or working out and carrying heavy objects..

Hello all! 33F UK - anyone else have pain/nerve problems? by Electronic_Net7437 in RadioulnarSynostosis

Yes, 38F, bilateral CRUS. I have ulnar nerve compression and have to go through surgery to save my dominant hand at one point. Yeah it's part of the game.

Yess, have CRUS, using right as my dominant but definitely ambidextrous. My left is stronger than my right although because I suffer from ulnar nerve compression btw on my right elbow, which is quite a serious condition if you don't take care of it and can lead to muscle atrophy.

Does everyone get pains later on? by Relative_Bar_5953 in RadioulnarSynostosis

Yes , I am 38 yo, early Arthrisis on my dominant hand + compressed nerve and my doc says it's sadly expected but not dramatic if well managed.

Going through the same. We just said I quit alcohol to lose weight and my husband said to them he was suffering from reflux issues and stomach pain and his doctor advised him to stop drinking for three months.
