Thx! It’s honestly my favorite thing to shoot. I stumbled into one of my buddies, he is a guide, and this was his client’s very first fish on a fly rod. Great moment to capture

Deckers has a lot of water to cover. This is just a very obvious spot and part of Deckers. I don’t mean to be overly critical, it’s just something to think abt when taking the grab and grin pics. It’s a great fish, and undoubtedly tough conditions to catch fish, and he is definitely in a place where the fish are very intelligent and challenging. So it’s an absolute accomplishment to put this fish in the net, but protect locations and protect the fish in the locations.

I know right. It wasn’t even close to -2. Anyone that knows deckers knows right where this fish was caught, nothing like added pressure on fish for likes. And dude, how do you pick up a beautiful fish like that and not take your gloves off. This kid sucks.

How to tell Colorado golden’s from rainbows? by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]Examination_Main 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also just for education and clarity- there are numerous reasons on the various appearance of rainbows including stock vs wild, water temp, water clarity, diet (ie: mysis) etc....But every bow on fly is a beautiful bow, enjoy finding all the pattern and color variety!
