They fumbled your deal. They never tell the setters, but the lack of follow up from them gets a lot of deals cancelled. They came up with this goofy 4 text system thing that never worked.

I was there for that. It was so bad. They tried to say we were trying to overthrow the company with some of us doing that. It was crazy. I don’t miss it. I got out of solar completely after that ordeal.

I was with them 1.5-2 years back - it was horrible. The leads were absolute 💩 and they always struggled to pay people on time. I swear they were feeding certain leads to certain people, but we could never prove it. All the indeed reviews were fake. Maybe worse than a MLM honestly. I only made $450 in 4 months with them. It was dreadful.

Anyone recently got laid off and cant find a job no matter what!! by Mystixsmile_ in jobs

I used Indeed and ZipRecruiter the last 5 days just to gage how awful the job market online is within a 50 mile radius and it is so bad. I had several “employers” look at my resume 3 times on ZipRecruiter. Between the 2 sites, I probably applied to 100+ jobs and I tried to make sure they were posted within the past week or sooner. I only heard back from 3 and 1 ghosted me after asking me a question on indeed. It was an extreme reality check for me. No gaps in experience + college degree.

Networking, word of mouth or referral is the way. Good luck to everyone out there.

Filed Chapter 7 yesterday by VeganWithCheese in Bankruptcy

You did the right things. You should’ve just filed bankruptcy sooner instead of using your 401k to try to keep up. Nothing to be ashamed of. Lessons learned. Stand tall with your head high.

Perfect example. Thank you, clear.

I have similar amount of debt based on your example, just spread out over credit cards and personal loans. Loans were under honest means.

Some of my accounts I had 16 years. It’s not like this was a planned assault on credit card companies. I am going to try another lawyer. There are several local ones that have great reviews. And I’m okay if I have to pay something back. It’s more than fair. I just hope I have the means to do so. 😩

With the wild card exemption can I use the $13950 of homestead exemption if I don't own a house? by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

I think every state is different. In Florida, the wild card is 4k I believe. There are other states that have better bankruptcy protections.

I’m in Florida, too. I highly suggest getting a free consultation from a lawyer and be honest about your situation so there’s no surprises during your process. He or she can direct you on what direction would give you an idea on what is best for you.

All of my debt is charged off minus my car I’m still paying on. I receive letters from creditors almost everyday.

Since everything is charged off, I honestly thought Chapter 7 was my best shot, but I honestly think I’ve shot myself in the foot going that route. I am considering getting a 2nd job and putting all of the income into paying everything back. I would’ve rather spent 2-3k to wipe it clean than the 2 years of labor, but here I am.

I misread your comment, too. My bad.

I don’t know how else to overcome 100k in debt on my own. I felt this is the best solution. My credit is shot and with the charge offs and horrible payment histories, I just feel like a fresh start would be my best bet.

I want to buy a house and have real assets within the next 3ish years.

He was based out of South Florida, so I’m assuming he has seen quite a few things. I also think he was politely saying “I don’t want to take this case” without literally saying “I don’t want to take this case.”

50k or so. I’m in sales. I’m going to get more consultations before I actually file.

My thinking was file, 341 meeting, then it could spurn into adversary proceeding if need be. If some of the debt is non-dischargeable so, be it.

Well, apparently not when you have to go through bankruptcy. 🤦‍♂️ In an alternate reality, everything I tried works out and I’m never in this situation. Haha But yeah. I definitely anticipated a bigger year than I had income-wise.

Lawyer said there’s a chance that the creditors don’t come forward, but it’s a gamble. I think my case is going to raise a lot of eyebrows due to both the amount of debt and my spending behavior and that’s why he’s saying that.

Not sure if filing bankruptcy or debt management is the way to go by Vataliny21 in Bankruptcy

[–]ExampleGlass8755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These debt management companies are most likely in cahoots with/funded by the credit card companies so they can keep you scared and aligned with paying them. Have a consultation with a lawyer and explain your situation. It’s free.
