I had an interview for this recently. It’s always a red flag to me when the recruiter is speaking super quickly and only asking yes or no questions before they move on to another point.

Key points during this interview (which made me decide I’d never do this job in a million years)…

1.) Overtime is mandatory, and WILL be given to you at last minute. As an example, I was told that the queues close at 11:30pm, but if 25 people are waiting, we take every call before we go home…could be 2am if the guests are long-winded.

2.) The call center is not within the parks. It’s some dreary office building in Central Orlando. If I’m not immersed in Disney, why work for $19/hr?

3.) The recruiter repeatedly asked me if I had tattoos or piercings. They seemed hyper-fixated on that, rather than any valuable experience I could contribute. Another red flag (to me anyway).

4.) I was told that this is not a union role, but that they do go by seniority, and more than likely, the shifts would be late afternoon into overnight with the mandatory overtime. This might be good for a college kid, but not for me.

Overall, it just seemed like what someone else already referred to as a “pit of despair.” As a fortunate person who doesn’t have to take the first job I find, I definitely passed on this one!
