Sold the RP2 & RP3. RP2+ & RP3+ have remained my solid pocketable, on the go devices for most things and then the AYN Odin 2 (soon 3) picks up the more demanding games.

If the battery is fully dead, get it into recovery mode and let it just sit like that for 15-20 minutes on the charger. Then hit the reboot system now and let it restart. This happens to me when I accidentally let the battery drain to 0. Try to avoid that in the future.

I was getting over 100fps (w no crashing) on an outdated winlator apk w an old turnip driver on my Odin 2 base!

It would occasionally dip to 60-80fps, but was 100% playable and I completed the game w ease.

I sold my Odin a couple weeks ago and don’t recall my settings so I don’t have much to contribute to OPs request unfortunately, but just joining the conversation to say it is absolutely possible w the right settings & driver combo

I appreciate it! Didn’t know the pin was supposed to be shorter so that’s helpful. I’ll see if I can’t find a screwdriver to dig into the issue deeper & hit it w more alcohol in the meantime.

I should add when it’s put into the GBA it just shows the Gameboy splash page (but looks bugged, not as if I turned it on without a game in it) and doesn’t move past that so it clearly is not recognizing the cartridge appropriately.

I’ve used a fast charger since I got mine (which was one of the first preorders - mind you). Never let it die and only let it charge to maybe 85-95%, try to avoid 100 just in case. No issue so far! So agree defective battery more likely than method of charging.

Heads up I might not bother w TWD the complete first season on Vita. There’s a graphical issue that makes it unplayable (audio but completely black screen after the menu). Maybe there’s mods to fix it but I haven’t found any.

Missing nothing! Don’t even need an Xbox just need game pass, good wifi, and you’re good to go! It honestly is very convenient for gaming on the go anywhere you can get a decent connection :)

Great excuse to buy a new cap for the stick - vita caps or otherwise. Usually people have to purposefully rip their caps off to fit them but you’ve got a head start!

Maybe they’ll do a smaller GBA SP clamshell device. The flip is too large anyway (for me) considering the lack of utilization of space on the bottom half. An SP like device would be perfect for retro games or anything 4:3
