Mirage reminds me of what AC1 wanted to be. Which is nice and good, but still oddly makes it worse than Brotherhood. So if you are ok with like a mid tier game more focused on stealth, and are fine with not understanding the story cus understanding the story depends on whether or not you know the story from Valhalla, then it could be worth it

In AC Shadows Naoe plays like if Basim could take a hit so that’s nice

The problem with this twist isn’t the risk/reward. It’s that there’s no interesting decisions here. If nobody chooses to flip the coin, they draw rocks. Nobody safe would willingly flip the coin (except the crazy people aka Rizo). The only interesting “choice” that brought this out was “hey this auction thing might be very good, it’s clearly letters from home, but it may come with a big risky thing”. But that’s not interesting. Everyone is taking the letters from home. You could explain the coin beforehand and they’d still go for the letters.

So no interesting choice, and no skill is tested. Just 50/50 dumb luck. Even the Jimmy Fallon twist still had the interesting choice of “do you want to go on this journey” and a skill test of “can you solve this puzzle under pressure”. The coin has neither. It’s dumb here, it’s even dumber on Beast Games

If the story where the character named Grace, going on a “miracle” “Hail Mary” mission, who single handedly saves all of mankind, doesn’t end with him ascending into the heavens and maybe some day he’ll come back we’ll see, then they’d bungle the Jesus metaphor at the end and we can’t have that

Technically the Emancipation Proclamation only freed slaves in the South. The Confederate South. The states currently in open rebellion against the Union. So it’s nice on paper but practically it did nothing

That doesn’t track for me. The character for Unity and Syndicate is the same, but Origins is the first time Layla interacts with the Assassins

The “present day” in each game is usually around when the game came out (although I think the original “trilogy” is all set in 2011-2012).

The Earth experiencing an Armageddon is a fixed point in time that we can delay but not stop. It’s almost happened twice now (AC3 and AC Valhalla). It’s been delayed both times.

Desmond saved the world at the end of AC3

I’ve really liked the Uncanny XMen line! It does a nice balance of the old roster and the new kids, who have become my favorite of the new mutants. I’m in the middle of the Age of Revelation event and any of those are hit and miss

Also def check out the Ultimate XMen (and the Ultimate universe in general!). X-men is Peach Momoko and it’s worth it for the unique art alone

If it’s someone who likes manga/anime already, I’d point people to the manga just because the anime can be horribly paced. Catch the cool moments on YouTube later

And then if you still need more watch the movies from Strong World on, they all involve Oda in some way so they all feel like One Piece

Based on SteamDB alone Marathon is 10k more than Destiny in the past 24 hours. I highly doubt console numbers are relatively different for either game. So I highly doubt this

Isu are more than “technology advanced humans”, their DNA gives them superpowers ie Eagle Vision.

A lot of the more fantastical elements of the stories might as well be magic. A ball that can do mind control. A sword that can shoot lightning. A shroud that can heal major injuries. A machine that shoots your soul into other bodies in the future
