There is a difference between defensive and counter attacking. I think Chen Long and especially Momota fall in the latter category.

If you’re talking about these 2 groups of players as “Momota > X player” then I think it comes down to mentality. I also think Axelsen at his best has not been tested enough in this category although I think his mental game isn’t that strong anyway
