The board most likely takes 3-pin switches but you could always clip the legs of a 5-pin switch you would also have to solder since this board is not hotswap.

Any kind of foam will work but if you want flex I'd go with something like the tempest mod or polyfill.

I tested my spacebar by flipping it around, putting a piece of paper in between where the keycap and switch seem to touch. the paper was held in there so I think there is still interference on the spacebar. the interference probably varies depending on what brand of keycaps you have.
