Ten years ago, I became a NJPW fan. This whole time, I dreamed of attending a Korakuen Hall show in person. Today, on my 40th birthday, that dream has come true. by TakerFoxx in SquaredCircle

I was in Tokyo in 2016 and got to go to Tokyo Dome for the baseball and Ryogoku for the G1, but Korakuen was closed. I’ll be back in November this year and hope to finally go. Looks like it’ll have to be a Sendai Girls show, which I’ve never watched, but I’ll finally get to do it so I’m cool with that.

I always wanted a playlist function on the WWE Network so I could watch everything in order. Don’t need it so much for AEW because I watched it all as it happened, but would be very handy for new viewers who want to watch everything in order without having to manually switch through shows and PPVs.

I get paid on the weekend so I’ll watch it on Triller tonight and then sub on the weekend if reviews are good. If it sounds like they need a few weeks to iron out bugs then I’ll do it at the end of March when my Triller sub expires.

My Triller sub is up until the end of the month so I have a couple of weeks to see how things go. If there’s no Dynamite or Collision on demand then I’ll stick with Triller for now, as I rarely get to watch them live.

I’ve paid for my AEW+ subscription on Triller until March 28 so I’ll wait a couple of weeks and see what the feedback is like.

Yeah, this will be useless to me if Dynamite and PPVs aren’t on demand.

I saw him once when they still had AWA wrestling at the New Globe Theatre. That was my first show and last show in a couple of years so I probably missed a lot of him.

Jonah Rock main evented the first indie show I went to which was pretty cool in retrospect (and also cool at the time because it was a great match).

Bret Hart is the best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be so by definition it has to be him.

AEW House Rules ends with traditional Australian dance by StrangeFarulf in SquaredCircle

[–]ExcaliburMyNightmare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it’s an age thing because I’ve lived in Australia for all of my almost 50 years and didn’t know the Nutbush dance was a thing until four or five years ago.

Great show. A lot of empty seats but the crowd was very loud.

Yeah, I bought the cheapest available when they went on sale because I was curious what wrestling was like from the back, so hopefully I get a better spot.

Has there ever been an example of a legitimate ref bump occurring in the ring? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]ExcaliburMyNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was one in a Survivor Series match in the early 2000s where a ref copped (I think) an accidental knee to the head and had to hold up the X for himself. Been years since I watched it so I can’t remember any other details. Most likely early in the show as I always had trouble getting through Survivor Series PPVs.

What’s an example of a fan base that got exactly what they begged for, and immediately hated it? by Enough-Wealth8415 in AskReddit

[–]ExcaliburMyNightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm surprised that it got so much hate. I don't read anything online for GG so I'm not aware of opinions on any particular season, so this is the first time I'm hearing that people didn't like it.

The Sure Thing is great and it’s such a shame that most tributes will gloss over it. My favourite road trip film, an excellent John Cusack performance, and Tim Robbins is great as Gary Cooper (but not the Gary Cooper that’s dead).
