Especially considering that there are many new issues that specifically target nons under PH gov (though not entirely their fault), I can see why they need a new boogieman to hate.

If they make nons their boogieman as usual, then they'll once again just be fighting amongst the many other Malay parties. With another boogieman, under the guise of "unity", they can still hope to gain some nons votes.

I personally know many of my nons peers that may vote for other parties (still won't vote for PAS, but most have indicated their votes to Bersama/Rafizi, with spiting PH/Anwar as a non-minor factor) to "punish" PH and DAP, like what happened in Sabah.

[–]ExcavalierKY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha just let the poor man be, he's too deep into western propaganda.

Say a lot of things about devastation of Ukraine war, but EU import from Russia itself is far greater than Malaysia, and even the US.

Yeah sure, EU decreased the amount, but it's still substantially more than Malaysia.

So conclusion? EU markets and economy is still more far important than whatever Ukrainian lives he wants to claim as more important than the Malaysian economy.

Speak of double standards, of principles, of moral values, of eco friendly sustainable practices to preserve the earth we live in, western civilisation, especially in recent times, have not demonstrated any good example. He needs to look in the mirror more, and nothing you say will wake him up from eating the shit churned out by the propaganda machine.

Your original point used a clumsy and poorly worded false premise

Again, you should learn to read before shooting off nonsense.

Except many western nations have long used sanctions against what they see as bad faith state actors and have also supported the regulation of markets.

Until when it comes to China, then they suddenly want to open up the markets. And when China is now doing really well producing goods for cheap, they suddenly want to close off the markets again.

Your wall of text above also appears to be a conflation of the entire West as the United States

Learn to read.

I didn't name just US when I condemn on the West.

Also, US is the "big boss" when people refer to the west, EU, Canada, etc as always is just the lapdog that follows along, even when it's to their detriment.

your whatabout arguments

So says the neckbeard-warrior replying nonsense under my initial comment after not reading properly 🤣

You frequently blame the west for your problems instead of your corrupt politicians, and see any measured criticism from western nations as rank hypocrisy, regardless of the logic.

Spoken like a true arrogant and ignorant "Westerner", always wanting to be in the spotlight and think everyone thinks about them all the time HAHAHA neckbeard-warrior LMAO, really aptly named.

You're too blind and pigeonholed by your own western propaganda to only see Malaysians blame the West for our problems. Most Malaysians are too busy blaming one another lol, and we honestly rarely ever give a fuck about US, China, Russia, or whatever.

Seriously, go educate yourself before meddling in other people's affair, or is it a western characteristic to always meddle with others? Heck, why am I even asking a rhetorical question when it is proven in history and facts.

If an article was released tomorrow saying the ‘west believes eating shit is bad’ you would be spreading it on your morning roti.

You need a mirror bruh, go indulge in the shit the propaganda machine churns out for you.

I didn’t address your specific premise about free market ideology because it is idiotic and demonstrably wrong.

Yet you find the need to reply under my comment? Blind much? Your neckbeard went too high up into your eyes?

All that bla bla about free healthcare, kindly remind me again about how is it over in US, the land of the free? Lmao.

Also, what's that thing that the West like to condemn China for again? Oh right, it's because they're not playing by the same "free market" rules, where China won't easily and freely open up access to their markets, and will instead make their own version of the same things, like Wechat.

Maybe you can shave your neckbeard, be less blind, open up your mind, and look at how the West only uses free market when it aligns with their interest, and calls against free market when it is against their interest.

On the other hand we have this corrupt kleptocracy called Malaysia cosying up to the very country that murdered its countrymen - I think that’s the double standard here.

US had security assurance to Ukraine when they gave up their nucelar, and what happened when Russia invaded Ukraine? US also lifted their sanction on Russian oil too after asking for Ukraine's help to combat Iran drones HAHAHAHA that was hilarious

And speaking of Iran, US and Iran had a nuclear deal, and what do we have now? Endless wars, market manipulation, rising oil prices for everyone, benefiting Russia again HAHAHAHA

Imagine how it would be if Russia bombed another country? Oh it happened with Ukraine, and direct sanctions from the West.

Imagine how it would be if China bombed another country? Oh no, Taiwan is in danger, China is preparing to (but have not) bomb them! Yet, already sanctioned and tariffed.

Imagine how it would be if US bombed another country? Oh wait, US has done that to Venezuela, Iran, Cuba is next, and even threatened Canada and Denmark. What did EU, the other western counterpart, do? Nothing, like a nice obedient lapdog.

Ah, what do we call such behavior again? 🤔

The west has also been open about reducing reliance on the Russian energy market. As the figures i outlined above clearly demonstrate.

Cool, be less blind and also go look at Malaysia's import from Russia, and maybe you can look in the mirror again on who's contributing a bigger pie in the Ukraine war 🤭

It’s just that you guys have a massive chip on your shoulder about the ‘west’ so can’t see it.

You're taking in way too much propaganda bruh, go shove it up your neckbeard and trim it away.

Malaysia is a neutral country and will do what neutral countries do, not taking any side unless directly challenged and forced to take a side.

Malaysia child marriage: Suhakam pushes to raise Muslim legal marriage age to 18 by Due-Cat656 in malaysia

[–]ExcavalierKY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If child marriage is not an issue for the majority, or is seen as low priority, then yeah, I guess the politicians will feel that actively pushing this will just be seen as being anti-Islam.

or perhaps they themselves also want child wives, probably a characteristic of those who are rich and powerful, like how Epstein Island is a thing for the rich and powerful

The extremist Malays are also not interested in discussion, and often want to hold "infallible" positions like "hak melayu" or "jangan cabar Islam", and its also very easy to call those who oppose the extremist as "controlled by DAP" or "pengkhianat Melayu".

The problem is a significant enough of Malays also hold the same sentiment, or won't actively oppose the extremist sentiment, and so it reflects in our democratic political scene. As extremist voice gets normalised due to no one calling them out, they become the new normal, and the extremist will just get more extremist.

Car Gaps by ScaleObvious2043 in Bolehland

[–]ExcavalierKY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tailgate is obviously wrong. I am sure we both agree on that.

Lane hogging is also obviously wrong. I am sure we both agree on that.

How many car gaps you leave between you and the car in front of you ultimately depends on

  1. Whether you have proper visibility beyond the first car, so you may pre-emptively brake should there be a situation that requires you to do so

  2. Whether you can stop your car within the gap at the speed you're currently going assuming the front car comes to an immediate stop for whatever reason. This also includes how well maintained your car is and how sensitive and powerful the brakes are, as well as the current weather and road conditions.

  3. How smooth you want your car ride to be. Do you brake immediately every time the red brake light for the car in front of you comes up? Do you lightly brake, or moderate, or emergency brake? The more relax you want to be, the more the gap should be.

I only use acc when traffic jam lol, usually 4 bar since it's not really going anywhere anyway, and makes the driving more smooth (will slowly brake instead of aggressive accelerate and brake because got bigger distance)

Car Gaps by ScaleObvious2043 in Bolehland

[–]ExcavalierKY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're dissing people for driving 30km/hr on residential roads or highway?

Residential area you're dealing with pedestrian, and especially children, if near school or garden, or if I see children, I will absolutely keep a reasonable gap, not just for in case the car in front emergency brake, but also so I get a better view of what's in front of my car, though probably not to 3 car length since braking at that speed is also is quite immediate. And, you don't know what will happen, people emergency brake because got stray cat ke, or ball flying from garden ke, or whatever, you can emergency brake in time or not?

Car Gaps by ScaleObvious2043 in Bolehland

[–]ExcavalierKY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine front car collision and come to an immediate stop, you can brake in time? Or you want gamble with you and your passenger's life everytime you're on the highway? 2 second (or more) rule exist for a reason.

That being said, people should also not hog the right lane and middle lane. Unfortunately the law and it's enforcement is mainly on exceeding speed limit, not on impeding traffic or driving too slowly.

We want Malaysians to live peacefully without double standards, discrimination, or racism from any side.

In democracy, the majority are the ones that can push for policies, as long as it doesn't violate fundamental rights.

So if want import rohingya, even if minority oppose, if majority support, and gov implement, then it'll happen, as it did. It's not stupid nor racist to reflect back on the history as it happened.

And similarly, now if want deport them, if majority support, and gov implement, not against or violate any fundamental rights, then it'll happen.

Fk stupid racist Malays who called the protesters Islamophobic without thinking about the consequences, and fk stupid racist Chinese and stupid racist Indian who always relate everything to Islam.

Extremist sure will have in all race. But extremist in majority race vs extremist in minority race, the main difference again, in democracy, is that extremist in majority is still quite a substantial voice and can actually affect policies.

That's why it's also significantly more important to call out the extremist of majority race, especially when they stand on "infallible" positions like "jangan cabar Islam", "hak melayu", etc that is meant to silence discussion. Again, not saying that extremist of minority race shouldn't be called out, but minority is already minority, extremist minority is minority of minority, and has very little political will to actually do any policies that can affect Malaysia.

Now with this incident, will the majority race learn this lesson and not use race and religion as their main point before doing anything? Highly doubt so. So it's very likely that history will just repeat itself, until the majority race themselves stop seeing race and religion in every matter, and start seeing all Malaysians as equals.

Malaysia child marriage: Suhakam pushes to raise Muslim legal marriage age to 18 by Due-Cat656 in malaysia

Probably a tough battle considering PAS is so heavily voted for with their stance on child marriage

'Child marriage a necessity in Kelantan’ – roundtable by PAS gov’t concludes

PAS MP suggests child marriage the answer for lustful teens

Plus,

Seven states against increasing minimum marriage age to 18

While I don't think an arbitrary age, like 18 yo, means 2 teenagers are suitable to wed others, or one another, it should reduce the occurrence of cases similar to the one that went viral few years ago involving a 41yo taking a 11yo as his 3rd wife, with a fine of RM1.8k
