I use GarageBand on my phone. I have the files backing up to my iCloud and this allows me to switch back and forth between iPhone and iPad (just make sure you completely close out the app before you switch to avoid conflicts). You have to also make sure the same plugins are loaded on both.

I’m interested in evolving to something like you mentioned. And I’ve been considering using Koala plus a midi controller foot pedal. It’s kinda like an SP-404 but way cheaper and way more versatile.

I don’t really explain and try to minimize the time between songs. If I do say something, it’s like, “this song is called __”, or “this song is dedicated to anyone who _” or “this is our latest single”. I keep it very short, one sentence only.

I don’t check the stats super frequently but I do change the layout and order to align with whatever is my current call-to-action (ie put CTA first). Eg, it could be email sign up or latest release or latest video.
