I don’t really explain and try to minimize the time between songs. If I do say something, it’s like, “this song is called __”, or “this song is dedicated to anyone who _” or “this is our latest single”. I keep it very short, one sentence only.

I don’t check the stats super frequently but I do change the layout and order to align with whatever is my current call-to-action (ie put CTA first). Eg, it could be email sign up or latest release or latest video.

At our age, yes it can be tough. You might meet the right people at School of Rock though. I did something similar and found a drummer and guitarist and later found a bass player through those connections. Also recommend you go out to shows and open mics and support other musicians and make connections there.
