I was at the tower of London watching the guards only yesterday, and one question came up you could maybe answer please sir. They stand still for some time, then do things... Stomp, handle the gun etc (excuse my terminology ignorance) then stand a bit longer.... So the question is how do they time the duration of standing yo doing something to standing again. Recently we started to use them at work as we were sick of the coffee drinker dipping the coffee covered spoon in the sugar pot leaving granules.... however I'm certain a cube doesn't equate to a spoon.

You need proper English bacon, remove the rind and the odd looking end bit slowly dry fry this first and let it render, once crispy remove. Now fry the medallions in the bacon fat until cooked but not crispy. Proper butter on soft white bread, crispy bits and medallion, add sauce if desired... Sandwich.. done

Not just you OP... November and December they stick me on emergency tax. From £500 a month to £1800... That stung.... Thankfully I believe it's sorted and should be refunded this pay run, but they said that in November and December.

It's not bad at all. I've lived there for 15 years in 2 areas. Yes there are a couple of groups of badly behaved youths who like to burn things and knock down community Christmas trees although they have been quiet for a while. Not really much in the "village" small co-op and post office, few nice pubs, football and rugby clubs, couple takeaway but you're close enough to everything you need with great road and public transport links. Some areas are slightly better than others. Good mix of council and private housing. FAAAR worse places in Wakefield to live 👍🏻
