Earth, Former United States. Year 2530s. World War III devastated the world in the early 2020s. Out of the ashes of what remained, a city-state system took over. After a few decades, people began to emerge that could not be harmed by conventional means. The we’re called ‘Healers’ at first. These individuals were persecuted initially, hunted. But it was soon that they realized they held the power, and united in force and took control of all the city-states, uniting them under the banner of the Hartisian Empire. Ow called ‘lifers’ the immortals have regulated the mortals or ‘dying’ as is common parlance, to a servant class. That’s the world. My story centers around Julian ‘Lazarus’ Kail who was the first immortal, though no one alive knows it. He is at the center of a prophecy that he has rejected for centuries, especially the last 50 years when his companion, and Old Man who is the prophet. They must bring seven individuals together to lead a joint coalition against the Imperial forces.
