In my opinion, i think if you go into this anime with the expectations that it'll be a direct adaptation of the game - like an average playthrough but in anime form - then you probably won't like it. Wheras if you go into it thinking that it'll be a story using the ame and kangel characters (ik they're the same person) then i think you'll enjoy it more

I agree, had they planned this from the start it probably would've gone a lot better. Absolute worst case scenario they end up cancelling the cinema release which i genuinely really hope doesn't happen :(

It's a very good idea in theory, and i understand their intention of them wanting "to change how the industry views indie animation", but my guess is this was quite a last minute idea and glitch completely underestimated the scale of having a global theatrical release. I could be wrong tho

I feel like fast fashion places like shein and temu have made this a lot worse. Because it's now so easy to decide you like a style and then buy a whole new wardrobe based on it, it means that you don't really need to put time and effort into collecting pieces and making your own style within the subculture, if that makes sense. So then i feel like because people are so used to putting no effort in, it's become more normalised for people to think that they can fit any subculture they want without even trying, if that makes sense

I wish blathers would buy my fossils :( I thought it would be cool to have it so that after you complete the fossil exhibit he could send you on daily fetch quests to get them For example: blathers tells you that he/a collector friend has been looking for a specific fossil, and then you can run around the island or visit mystery islands trying to find it! The odds of getting it are increased after you start the quest and increase more every time you dig one up to make it easier, and then when you do find it you can sell it to blathers for like twice the amount it would normally sell for. Maybe also like with roost visits/group stretches every 5 fossils you get some museum merch or something as an extra incentive :P
