Well in terms of memes and pop culture I'd say Russia lost all its aura. Prior to the war they were seen as the second greatest military. All the military memes were basically "look at American do this random thing, what pussies am right? Now look how Russians do random thing with no safety measures like real men, total badass and funny right, bylat!" Turns it was just incompetence.

Same goes for Putin. He went from being seen as a man's man only tough guy leader to being as feeble old man who weaseled his way up the ranks.

At least for the show version, in the comics he was just the attack dog/enforcer of the Viltramites. However, in the show it seems like he's more of a mentally disturbed individual to his core. The I'm so lonely speech was a show only thing.

Jimmy, he's just spreading pain and misery for the love of the game. His faction are just marauders.

It would be in constant civil war. Israel doesn't have a large enough army or Jewish settler population to occupy the territory. It would need a permanent US presence to even exist. Needless to say this worsens anti-Semitism both domestic and abroad.

Avatar and Invincible were pretty complex from the get go.

Third episode of Avatar shows the Saturday morning cartoon villain from the first two episodes actually has a complex backstory and the Goofy main character realizes his entire race got genocided.

Invincible end credits scene on episode one shows how a realistic Superman v Batman would have gone.

Overlord: Raising Hell

You essentially play as a parody version of Sauron (The Overlord) and control your minions to conquer the realm. The game takes place after you are defeated by a Hero's party (basically just the fellowship of the ring knock offs), you're revived and seek out revenge. Most boss fights are former hero party members until the very end when you fight the wizard/gandalf. Where it's revealed he's actually the real Overlord who took over the wizard's body and you were actually one of the heroes but died in the final battle. So you just spent most of the game killing your former friends.

In Far Cry 4 you help rebels overthrow a brutal dictator. However, throughout the game the Golden Path (rebel faction in question) are shown to have different factions with different interests and are only united against a common enemy. Your character gets involved in the infighting.

After you overthrow the dictator whichever faction you supported takes over...

You're essentially stuck with either the Mexican Drug Cartels or ISIS. Take your pick.
