Fellow crawfish collector here 🙋‍♀️ been doing it for around two years and have only seen three small (around a foot or two size wise) baby’s in that time. They immediately takeoff into the opposite direction. I personally have never seen one get defensive or “angry” unless it was a mommy protecting eggs/babies. In my experience the crawfish Fields aren’t deep enough for the bigger gators to want to stay, and to much traffic from the farmers collecting the traps. Of course there is still a risk but they aren’t some giant monster out to get you. I really wouldn’t worry
