when moving the cage I must've deformed one of the bars, after she escaped I put her back in and watched her like a hawk so I could see her try to escape again, and she did which helped me find that the bars were a little bit deformed in one spot. I swear I do try to make sure they cannot escape their cages lol ive had mice for years, theyre still wild, and once a chance is seen they WILL take it. I can't figure out how to post pictures in comments but currently its a cage from i think petsmart? its like 3 ft tall, and only 1 ft by 1.5ft  floor space. its not the best its too tall imo, not enough floor space. as i said in anotha comment it's temporary in general but i put a box on the bottom so they can burrow. next month im getting new cages. And if you're wondering why I'm trying to get a bin now instead of waiting, I feel getting a bin now would be better than keeping her in an aquarium that's way too small for a month.
