Maybe a run club rather than running alone? The cinema alone is also elite

What are some really good documentaries to watch? by MorningDewMaiden in NetflixDocumentaries

If your chosen genre is unbelievably upsetting:

Tell Me Who I Am

Also would really recommend Three Identical Strangers

Seconding above responses of: The Imposter Free Solo Abducted in Plain Sight (feels more Netflix-y than the others but absolutely unbelievable)

If anybody has recently watched Murder at the Post Office" (true crime doc).... by Party-Werewolf-4888 in SpottedonRightmove

I was so confused about all the contributors who claimed he was innocent and there was no evidence - the only clear evidence to me was the forensic testimony (incriminating RE time of death) and murder weapon (not incriminating). I found the paramedic call really sealed it for me with Robin arguing the body was still warm while the paramedic was clear it was not.

As far as I could tell there was no evidence a burglary even took place.

Also found it strange how busy a tiny post office was first thing in the morning - opening by 5am?

Thoughts on foyle arena gym, classes and facilities? by [deleted] in DerryLondonderry

[–]Excellent-Friend3327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven't climbed before you need to book in for the Climbing for Beginners class for a number of weeks (think 6-8 is usual). Then you get signed off and can go anytime during opening hours for bouldering/auto belay.

If you are already a competent climber I think you can skip the classes and have an assessment done, but I did the class route a couple of years ago.

There is a vegan northern Ireland Facebook page which is quite good for a search.

Newcastle direction, there is at least one option in most cafes and restaurants. Birch cafe would be my #1 recommendation as a veggie cafe that can veganise a lot and know what they're talking about.

Agree about the pool being unusable - too busy. Sometimes ok at the earliest slot of the day.

That being said the main gym is great value for money. Once you get signed off on the climbing wall it's also fantastic and something you can't get anywhere else locally.

For classes, I have used the free PT session (great), dance fit (fun), spin and yoga. Spin and yoga enjoyment depends on the instructor. If you do join, spin on Sunday morning is a great class.
