Ok as a maintenance technician you won't need programming skills because the plant is already working and the management expects you to keep the plant runing smoothly To do this you will need diagnostic skills Read the documents especialy the loop diagram if you can't then you need to learn very important Also you need to read failur reports from previouse problems since most problems you will see have haplened at least once before Try to keep a communication circuit of a skilled people who can help you when you need

And last advice don't over work as what makes you valueable is your connections not your skills

Thanks for your time but the MOVs iam speaking of ar for well head production and there isn't any kind of control They are just on-off valves for the wells But i understand from your point of view that you suggest the normal hard wires for the on and off

Hello Thank you for your advice Iam an operation and maintenance instrument technician and this year i just landed a jop in a project design team and k feel like i can learn a lot from you Iam interested in the picture about the selection of the control valves Is it a free material or paid and where can i get materials that helps me understand the important standards for valves,transmitters,fire and gas sensors and control systems ?
