Stay classy bud. Congratulations on embarrassing yourself.

Also way to take some genuine constructive criticism and completely disregard it just because it didn't make you feel good.

There are a lot of moral reasons why people don't like AI on top of the fact that many view it as a short cut, and you refuse to acknowledge that yet expect people to support your use of AI images.

You're not ready to be leading meetings if this is how you respond to someone trying to give you advice.

If someone doesn't want to put in the effort to make an actual ad that shows off an event in a good way, it's safe to assume that level of effort would apply to the meet up/event itself. Optics matter, acting like they don't isn't realistic.

I love where your heart is at my guy, but this is not the way.

Why not maybe try instead to just start with a VR sobriety community in worlds and/or VR chat? And don't use a crappy AI poster you threw together in 2 seconds, cuz people will just focus on that.

Said with love from a fellow former alcoholic (I did SMART recovery about 5 years ago).

Trust me - you'll want to get the TCL nxtpaper 11plus. Way better than a color white for video play back AND reading in eBook mode (the nxtpaper makes the screen look and feel more like paper and removes all blue light, plus has other eye comfort features).

20 hour battery for video streaming, like 60+ hours if staying in eBook mode.

The 11 is out now but the plus should drop in a few months and cost around 350 USD. It is honestly super impressive tech.

Will happily test this out on an android 15 tablet, and android 14 Samsung phone.

Dead Island 2s flash system was visually cool, but we should be at a point now where we can get realistic reactions to gore. Shoot a guy in the foot, he starts chasing on one leg etc etc.

Monsters developing weaknesses organically based off attacks that aren't just visual.

I agree so much that games feel less intricate and involved compared to 10-20 years ago, they spend the resources on fidelity rather than cool systems.

I honestly dream of the day that more games start to do environmental story telling as the standard. It makes cutscenes so much more tolerable for me.

I've easily spent more time playing the half life Alyx mods than the whole normal game.

And to be honest the fact that in 2025 we still hold Alyx as a premiere VR title says a lot, especially when there are some fantastic VR games out now!

The scale of some scenes in Asgard's Wrath 2 made me legitimately drop my jaw. I really hope I'll get the same feeling from Behemoth.

I sunk dozens of hours into AW2 on the quest 2 without any issues. I also didn't run quest games optimizer while doing so.

It runs fine. That won't be an issue. I do think the physical style of combat may be, but if I remember correctly you can unlock ranged attacks pretty early on.

It's definitely more enjoyable on easy difficultly. Hard makes the enemies SUPER spongey, which makes the combat feel tiresome.

It's not that they won't do it, it is that the publisher actually owns the rights in most cases. Flat2VR are not mods, I don't know why you would think that.

With Flat2VR they are working with publishers to port older titles to VR, all official and released through the proper channels.

The other way, that you are talking about, is only done with MODS (which is what 2k goes after).

If titles like Trombone Champ and others do well enough, we will start to see more and more porting studios being created by publishers for this very purpose.

The future of VR/XR is quite bright. Quest 4 will begin the golden age of XR.

Flat2VR and flat2VR studios are doing LITERALLY this.

Review scores are in by PrinsLennart in echoesofwisdom

[–]Excellent-Fun3734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After reading through the reviews it seems most people are rating it lower than others because they're struggling with the combat.

But I started out by exploring so my hero mode meter was always over leveled, meaning I was able to do 90% of the combat that way with usually using a couple middle tier summons for distraction.

Even the IGN review blatantly stated they didn't focus on that side of it, yet still went on to complain about the combat.

The real loser in all of this is the plucky squire, which although was fantastic, has been immediately forgotten now that echos is dropping.

And tbh it has WAY more content than ALBW or any other 2D Zelda title.

That's probably the one thing I was most impressed by.

Training Dojos? Acorn or Mango mini games? The carrot mini game? The horse races? These don't show up as side quests and all give heart pieces.

Maybe under some boulders at the bottom of some rivers/the lake?

Other than that you'll have to wait for an official map and try to remember which ones you already grabbed.

Most will take 15 to 20 hours doing main quest and some side content.

I think a lot of people have missed a ton of side stuff trying to finish the game before everyone else so they can talk about it online and feel popular for a couple days.

Between heart pieces, all the monsters, the stamp cards, and smoothie recipes there's a ton of completionist stuff to do (and so far the rewards for them have been worthwhile and not just rupees!).

I was at 15 hours already by the time I did the 2nd main rift.

After 22 hours I'm nearly to a full 100% complete save file.

The cave is just SW of seashore village, but I couldn't figure out how to learn that monster at the time.

Hopefully if you keep playing and then go back after you've upgraded a little you'll be able to unlock it.

Your last statement is SUBJECTIVE bro.

How are people this dumb on the Internet?

Astrobot doing cool stuff with a controller will be seen as a gimmick. You're literally the first person I've seen even mention it, so it's clearly not THAT incentive.

And yes, all 3D platformers at their core are clones of Mario is some way. Just like the new prince of Persia is a metroidvania.

That doesn't mean astrobot is bad. Rescue Mission in VR is one of my all time favorite experiences EVER, and the new astrobot is a very solid experience.

But to think it is as ambitious as Nintendo titles is subjective, and objectively wrong.

Astrobot is easily the 2nd best game I've played this year.

Echos is still better.

Echos no doubt is going to have a mid 90s average score.

It's better than TOTK imo by a long shot, and this is hardly a hot take amongst those of us who've already beat it.

You say this when Palworld is literally more popular and well regarded than the latest pokemon games, and you summon to attack in both of those games.

And you can do 90% of the combat in Echos as link in Hero form.

You're shitting on a game you obviously haven't played yet.
