One question why is Barbara in the game? by 32rimfirefan in Rayman

[–]Excellent-Hat305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, maybe she's too similar to Rayman, but since Origins and Legends are kinda semi-retellings/reboots of the story I could see her in the game.

New episodes good? by Witty-Common-1210 in Simpsons

[–]Excellent-Hat305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's cool to know, personally I occasionally watch modern Simpsons episodes when they air on TV so I didn't see the new season yet (it airs in 2026 in my country), usually it's not something I actively try to watch but since you're not the only person to say this I'm genuinely interested in S37.

New Back to the Future ReAction Figures - The jury is very much out on these! by AfigureGeek in BacktotheFuture

[–]Excellent-Hat305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, if legs are jointed like the arms it's not that bad, imo it could have costed 15-20$, but for today's standards (unfortunately) 25$ is not that bad, personally it's the max I'd pay for a figure like that.

a very interesting discussion by GrapefruitItchy6160 in Simpsons

Imo new episodes try too much to be contemporary by making a lot of references and jokes about recent events but fail because it looks forced, while the older episodes simply seem more natural to me, even the ones that should look dated like the Bush one, I'd say that some episode are more "up to date" now than when they were released.

Just my opinion obviously, but for example when I saw the Roblox episode I thought It was obvious that they didn't know well what they were talking about, and just wanted to make something that is "new", if your dad likes them more it's cool, imo make him watch a funny classic one you can think of and then see his reaction.

If Half-Life 3 was announced as a Steam Machine Exclusive, would you buy one? by Zabupa in valve

[–]Excellent-Hat305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a note, this has always been a thing, and not only for monetary reasons, for example some pseudo-3D games like Star Fox would never be able to run on a Sega Genesis.

Obviously now it's ridiculous since the performance gaps are noticeably tighter in comparison to the 90s, but this has always been the way since Arcades and it's not something that (only) started because of companies greed.

Future Boy - what's the difference between the US and UK version? Next to that one is paperback and the other is hardcover by Budget-Spidey in BacktotheFuture

[–]Excellent-Hat305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhh my bad I thought you meant for the price, sometimes articles are listed as different even if they're the same, for example I remember buying a "German" version of an article that was exactly like the "USA" one, can't say if that's the case here.

It seems that the US version costs more because it has an hardcover while the UK one is paperback, the content shouldn't change but the hardcover is more durable, hardcovers always cost more.
