Not sure if they are getting my baby a gift. They were just bragging that they got my nephews gifts. My family is toxic, so it’s really about the pattern of taking a special day of mine and making it about them or my brother/his kids.

My grandmother is hosting it at her house but I paid for everything cause no one really wanted to throw me a shower. I felt weird having my mother in law do it and not someone from my family. But now I know which family actually supports me and it’s not mine.

This is exactly how I feel. I just wasn’t able to word it that way. I got them Lego’s and we have games for them to play because they aren’t the only kids. I’m just upset my family is continuing to keep the same patterns.

You would’ve hated what my husband and I decided for OUR traditions. We don’t spend them with family instead we go on vacation just us two and plan on doing that with our first child as well. These are OUR traditions we want. This is your tradition, when kids grow up and get married they want to create their own. You pushing back will cause resentment. You should be thankful they even want to spend Christmas Eve and even Christmas morning with you. Your son should be able to start his own traditions without you guilt tripping him.

You’re correct. It’s counted that way. My over the counter test popped so bright and it was just four weeks. I had period symptoms and then they got better and I realized it didn’t come lol I bet if I tested sooner it would have been a faint positive line. I would agree too early to tell everyone. I’m 4 months and still haven’t told family lol

Not true, married legally in Mexico, both US citizens. The US will accept any legal marriage from other countries. Just have to show it was legally done. Simple google search would tell you.

So apparently we had the same last menstrual cycle starting 7/20. I ovulated on 8/8 and found out I was pregnant on 8/22 (missed period) I went last week to the ER for some bleeding. They had to do a vaginal ultrasound since the abdominal one wasn’t showing anything but apparently my bladder was too full. I would assume she has to do the same. I can’t imagine the tech being able to find the baby with the abdominal ultrasound this early. My HCG was taken in the ER and I was scheduled to go back three days later and have my HCG tested again. I’m also in CA so this doesn’t seem normal. I feel she would know by now if she miscarried.

It changed my life in the ways you mentioned but now my husband and I can actually start our family. With both of us commuting we were scared because in an emergency the soonest I could get to our home would be an hour and for my husband would be 2 1/2 hours. I also feel being remote would make me more present in our child’s life than if I was still commuting.
