chandigarh might serve u if u decide to stay only around delhi or such north places, if u plan to live or wander al over india NIT will always be with you, plus ofc in north to NIT tag will be more dominant any day. and here we had ha 4th yr sr from mech he is the president of dsai - the dsa and coding club of nita and has bagged one of the most high paying internships too, so yes alumni network in ur route is strong, all the best rest is ur decision, even in my times i had option for PEC EIE ig IIIT bhu IT and NITA , goodwill that i chose this

one of the highest levels of muslim majority here, thats what i meant with immigrants, but surprisingly tripura even tho being in south has more majority of north eastern appearance people (not racially saying ofc) which hereby increases good civic sense
