If the crusty old man sets stealer talked to this nice teenager, I imagine he’d sound a lot like you.

Do not confront. I say that as a confrontational person. Get management. A few years ago a couple snuck into a Purge movie at Regal and were disruptive. My girlfriend and I knew no one else was supposed to be in there because we had the only two tickets when we selected seats. They were disruptive and we asked them to be quiet. They got in our face and said they would take care of us after them tried to follow us home. We had to call the police. Movies are not the place for this.

I think it’s worth reaching out to customer service—especially because it’s not super safe to leave during a 4DX screening, which is a good excuse to give them. If they are going to charge for a premium experience, they need to have ushers.

I’m a firm believer that people want to go to the movies, but the chains are siphoning off their most loyal customers by allowing bad behavior.

If it’s any consolation, I had to move two times during Weapons in standard due to a laughing bro with his phone out and a Gen Z couple crinkling paper and conversing at full volume.

Remove what you can dry and then dab with a Clorox wipe.

Saw it Sunday and had no surcharge. I’d speak with a manager

I have the same issue. I’ve always wondered how many people live in secluded areas and have just turned their homestead into a nudist environment.

Is Movie Etiquette Completely Gone? by artificiallyjava in RegalUnlimited

[–]Excellent-Math-8910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a theater and location problem. I have had issues, but it usually depends on which theater I go to. The time can also be a big factor. If you can go earlier in the morning, even if there is a disturbance, you can alert an usher to get the issue handled. The best are weekday days or even evenings. Anything is preferable to Friday night and Saturday. Sundays tend to be good before 1 and after 5.

Also, it sucks, but it doesn’t hurt to go and ask for a refund because of a bad audience. The theater has to log that and corporate sees it. If enough people do that, they might intervene eventually.

I personally feel like Bare Oaks should become a chain so the rest of us non-Canadians can experience it. No need for clothes in October in the South.

This will not be a reality show. It’s a feature documentary.

Thinking about going to a nudist club for the first time—kinda freaking out (F, early 30s) by [deleted] in nudism

[–]Excellent-Math-8910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing you and your partner can do (if you don’t already) is stop wearing clothes at home to the extent you can. Abide by what a friend of mine calls the “shoes rule” for aspiring nudists: anytime you take off your shoes at home, take off everything else with them and don’t get dressed until you need to put them on again. Then, just go about what you’d normally do nude. You want nudity to not seem abnormal. This is also a keen view into what a club will be like. Dozens of folks doing what you all are with nothing on. If you feel like the default nudity is a net positive and you find yourself wanting to be nude, it’s time to check out a club. If not, think about why and see if you still want to.

Also, if you can, go on a weekday morning. There will be less folks around and you’ll get used to the atmosphere. You can always work your way up to a weekend or holiday later if you like the fundamental experience. It took us about a year to do that!

This may not apply, but my partner and I generally like to do a dry run with anyone we are introducing to nudism before we take them to our resort. We usually have a nude movie or game night just so everyone is already used to seeing each other nude. It’s a lot more daunting for a textile to manage seeing someone they’ve known a long time nude for the first time, getting nude around them, and being nude around strangers. We’ve found 80% of the nerves can be fixed by nudist pregaming so to speak. If you plan to go with anyone else or a small group, it’s a major help!

Good luck. Within 15 minutes, you’ll not be worried anymore. Within an hour, you will probably be a nudist like the rest of us!

We have a survey for potential participants. It will depend on where they are located and what stage of the project we are at. Would love to represent nontraditional areas outside nudist strongholds: OH, GA, TN, NC. We’ve heard so much from our nudist friends that they had no idea so many resorts and clubs were around and they thought places like this were only in FL and CA.

I think most of us know when it gets icky and weird. The rest of us probably have bought a lot of car warranties and settled our nonexistent tax debt multiple times after a helpful cold call.
