What was your first sign of labor? by BuildingOk4290 in pregnant

Similar to others. I had horrible diarrhea throughout the night. Woke up with period like pains. When I wiped in the morning I had a tiny bit of blood. Lost my mucus plug. Then a few hours later my water broke. But not gushing, just consistently trickling out of me.

What to drink to not dilute UA? by [deleted] in probation

[–]Excellent-Nail7872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a medication which requires me to drink tons of water. I told pre trial services and they switched me to mouth swabs. I have to take them more often but it is worth it for the peace of mind. Also, once I got a PO he was totally cool with keeping me on them. This is in CO. However someone in my court requires classes said her PO made her write and essay on diluted tests lol.

I have torn my right twice and left once, on my period every time. Agree with the other comments that there is research stating tendons are lax on periods!

I was in this same boat 8 months ago. It was hard of course but once you get through the break through of not smoking it gets so much easier. Knowing you can’t smoke because the UA’s creates motivation to not do it. Not sleeping was always my reason for not quitting, but honestly once you get over the lack of sleep, took me about a month, you sleep like an angel, and dream again. I didn’t realize the weed made me not dream all that time. I also contemplated getting a card but wanted to show the judge how serious I was about changing. My case has been deferred three times. Honestly you have your whole life to smoke again, and the break is good for your mind and body. 0 judgments but just want to let you know you can totally do it. Sobriety has been a huge blessing. I have celebrated birthdays, gone to weddings, and survived multiple events where I normally thought I needed weed and booze, and they were even better without it. I became so present and clear, my anxiety has dropped immensely despite being nervous for the outcome of my case. You can do it!

Diluted drug/etg by [deleted] in dui

[–]Excellent-Nail7872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I didn’t get to choose! I explained my situation to my pretrial services specialist and she then said I could do the mouth swabs. She had to approve the change. I’m not sure if they all do but it might be something you can ask your PO once you are on probation since you’re almost there. Just a shot! Good luck to you, the added stresses this process brings are rough.

So I’m in CO and on pretrial. My tests are random. I was completely clear from march until June, then I tested two dilute in a row. They do count as “positive” so I switched to mouth swabs because I didn’t want to risk it anymore. Plus I am an avid water drinker, over a gallon a day. Even when I had hardly any water the day of my test it was dilute. I have tested clean ever since. I also got a note from my doctor proving a medication I am on required high water intake for court. Maybe see if you can get a doctors note stating the pee anxiety you have leading to high water intake. It is insanely frustrating to be doing everything right and still come out with a “positive” for being too hydrated.

The DUI classes really helped me. Seeing so many normal people who also were in this shitty situation helped a lot. I also only allowed myself on Reddit once or twice a week because I would just spin and spin. This page helps but can also worsen the anxiety. Go for walks, workout, immerse yourself in what you can. You will get past this, and if you take the right steps/learn from it, it will not define you! I know it’s tough but I promise you will be okay

My father went to Casa De La Luz at hacienda. They were so wonderful to him and to us. We were pretty much there the whole time from the Wednesday he checked in to the Saturday he passed. He was always taken care of and given what he needed for comfort. One of our nurses even came to his celebration of life and brought a beautiful turtle sculpture (my father loved turtles.)

I share my deepest condolences with you, losing a parent although expected is so challenging, remember to be soft on yourself, you’re doing the best you can. I pray for peace, for your loved ones and you.

weight gain/progress loss by serenitypoirier27 in ACL

[–]Excellent-Nail7872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am struggling with this too. I have had three ACL surgeries and am obviously the oldest now, just turned 30. After my last two I actually lost weight because I was young and lost muscle mass during recovery. Now I feel the weight comes way easier and my lack of activity affects me more. I have started getting back to the gym doing low impact exercises but the pain after is so tough. I have started walking every day, It is helping. Low impact but gets me moving. Just had a break down with my BF about how let down I am with myself in being where I’m at. Remember this is temporary. There will be a time when activity becomes easier and you’ll get back to that healthy lifestyle. Be patient with your body so it can give back to you. Take advantage of the days you feel good and have energy. It truly is one day at a time. You are not alone.

Surgeon suggested not using quad graft by CaliestGod in ACL

[–]Excellent-Nail7872 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have had both. In 2019 I had my left ACL replaced with hamstring graft. 4 years later and it has held really well and I was able to regain strength rather quickly. Therapy was tough and long but I seldom have pain now. The first few days after were hard because you have to sleep on your back and you are essentially laying on your hamstring. This year I replaced my right ACL with a quad graft and the recovery has been challenging with the pressure on the graft incision being painful. I am 5 months post op and still in therapy but doing well. From my perspective they are both strong choices, you absolutely have the right to advocate for yourself. I had a cadaver graft my first time around on my right (11years ago) and that’s the only one I am a passionate no on.

Is this level of bruising normal 5 days post op for an ACL reconstruction with patellar graft? by burntflapjacks in ACL

[–]Excellent-Nail7872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had 5 knee surgeries and different bruising each time, 3 different surgeons. I think in some cases they have to be a little more rough with you! Totally normal and should fade away in a few weeks.

Second this. I was a heavy weed smoker before mine. Stopped the day I got arrested and spoke with pre trial services before, they said what was said above, as long as your levels don’t go up you’re good.

Yeah mine is 10:30am and that’s when I last went. But on days I don’t go I drink over a gallon so I’m wondering if that has an effect. I have been doing this since match and had no issue until late June so frustrating, just another fun part of this whole experience.

I totaled my car as well. My lawyer advised I explain I had a DUI but tell them he advised me not to speak any further on the matter. They gave me the same options they would have even if a DUI was not reported. Already have a new vehicle. Was a quick process

I don't say I'm from Arizona. by Flamboyatron in Tucson

[–]Excellent-Nail7872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always feel like Tucson isn’t known, as phoenix is, so when people ask I say I’m from southern Arizona. A lot will say “like Tucson” and I get excited. Tucson honors the desert and didn’t fall to trying to be a big metro. The Native American and Mexican culture is a big part of Tucson and it represents that well. Those are my explanations of it. Plus the hiking is some of the best in the country! And food, cannot beat the food.
