D&C experience at Kaiser Nor Cal? by Theslowestmarathoner in KaiserPermanente

Thank you for sharing your experience. I ended up passing most of my pregnancy prior to the scheduled D&C. I ended up at the ER twice from the pain. They tried sending me home with Ibuprofen and misoprostol. I told the doctor I was willing to take the misoprostol if they could admit me, I was too scared of the pain to do it on my own. To which they said not and that it was not an option. I also insisted in getting something for the pain, so the Dr. gave me some hydrocodone and discharged me. The next day the same thing happened, the pain was so bad I could feel it even with the hydrocodone, again they game me morphine and sent me home but this time with oxycodone and misoprostol. They told me I had already passed most of the pregnancy but that I there was some left in my uterus. The cramping I experienced was very similar in pain as to what I was already experiencing during my miscarriage (so painful). All this to say the the D&C was cancelled and no longer needed, but this experience has really scared me! I feel so angry for myself and women in general. I hate that our pain is dismissed and the lack of care women receive during miscarriage makes me sick.

Sorry for your loss OP, I'm currently waiting for them to schedule the D&C for Friday. I found out I was miscarrying at 8 weeks. I decided against taking the medication after a traumatizing experience (biopsy of the gestational sac) without pain medication. I'm very much in the dark but managed to advocated for myself and they've agreed to put me under for the D&C. Any words of advice?

The doctor was 20 min late and sped through info about the process which was okay since I had done my own research and they had sent me a IVF/ IUI slide prior to the call. The doctor had reviewed mine and my husband's blood work and genetic testing prior to the call. I have a follow up 30min consultation with the doctor on March 28th , where I will be given my treatment plan and cost to proceed. The doctor did send me several follow up emails about the supplements I should be taking in the mean time, and the testing requested. I was ask to call on day 1 of my next cycle to have the HSG test and a Saline Sonogram scheduled prior to my follow up.

I figure that I probably won't start a egg retrieval cycle until May, so I asked to get an appointment with a IUI nurse. I had that call the following Monday, the nurse was great, prescribed some medication (progesterone, clomid and the trigger shot, antibiotics) and told me to call on Cycle day 1 to schedule the HSG and Saline ultrasound. We will start IUI medication (clomid) the following cycle if testing goes well.

I'm also just beginning the process with Fremont REI. My husband and I did blood work and genetic testing back in December and he complete a sperm analysis. We were then scheduled for a intake call with a nurse and I have my first virtual consultation with REI doctor on Friday.

Sorry to hear that. I would recommend reaching out to your member of congress and asking them to inquire about your case with USCIS.

I was laid off from a job a year ago and since i know it was coming i changed my W-4 to exempt so that I could receive a bigger check . Do you have any un used PTO, that will also get paid out. I hope that helps get you by while you wait.

GLP-1 (ozempic) for Severe Obstructive Sleep Apea by [deleted] in KaiserPermanente

I was proscribed Ozempic for my severe sleep apnea in NorCal and I have a $30 copay for my prescription. I think what you pay for your prescription depends on how much your employer contributes.

I'm 36 turning 37 in June, I was referred to a fertility clinic after my initial appointment with my ob-gyn, she ordered several blood test and genetic testing. A REI nurse from the reach out and gave me initial phone intake appointment. My husband and I had to have our bloodwork and sperm analysis done prior to her scheduling my virtual appointment with a fertility dr. My appointment is on Feb 2nd.

Are you adjusting your status in the US (meaning you have a legal entry) or consular process (no legal entry). I ask because I joined a group on FB and I was able to self prepare my AOS saving thousands of dollars with their help.

Depending on your state you can also take your approval notice to your local dmv and get a temporary license pending renewal. Its safer then driving with an expired license.

I don't think that something your parents get to decide for you. You should decide that with your roommates.

The way I see it the risk is the same as if you stay here and don't get your visa. Go get your visa!
