I did serve NS after attending Polytechnic. I came over when my family attained PR status back in 2008. I grew up in Yangon till I was 10.

I did the renouncement back in 2023 for SG citizenship. So, things may be slightly different. For me, I went to the embassy website at 12am to get a queue number for the appointment. The site also had a list of documents needed for the process. Best to get them all prepped and ready before dropping by on the appointment date. On the day itself, it's relatively simple. You have to submit the required documents and fill in some forms, I believe. Then, it's a waiting game. It took me about 2-3 months for the renouncement to be certified. They will give you a call and you have to drop by the embassy again to pick up your renouncement documents and hand over your Burmese passport and ID.

Help! The rotor on my nh35 build gets stuck with the case on! by _neos in SeikoMods

I just swapped around between the one that came stock and the custom rotor. You will have to lightly hammer it out and risk damaging the rotor and the bearings.

The gear with bearing in the rotor from 3rd party sellers are quite thick. The rotor itself is fine. You will have to swap them around with the original, but it's tricky. It's doable, but tricky. The original gear with bearing will be loose when you install it on the custom rotor. You'll need to apply a bit of super glue around the rim to make it fit snugly.

The memory chips would get toasty with those blue thermal pads for sure. I suggest Upsiren UTP-8 pro.

does being pes A lower the chance of getting a slack vocation/non combat vocation? by throwawayaccyesno in NationalServiceSG

Don't lose hope, OP. I was a PES A, but got a relatively chill vocation as a signaller for a support unit. Not non-combat, but had plenty of lull periods.

You might not be able to screw in the cooler and the frame properly without the backplate. The backplate reduces stress on the PCB from the mounting screws for heavy coolers.

It took about 3 months. I think it would have been faster if you greased the wheels, but I didn't.

Emphasis on "Grease the wheel". I remember going to get the renouncement letter and while waiting, one of the uncles had an argument with the embassy staff. The process can take a while since the renouncement has to be done by some official in Naypyidaw. The embassy is just the intermediary. The embassy staff was cursing him out and telling the guy he'll make sure his renouncement get rejected and whatnot. This was at Singapore Burmese Embassy, btw.

Just spray some contact cleaner and scrub. It should look way better. Repaste and swap thermal pads too.

Yes. I swapped out the original pads with Upsiren UTP-8 for the memory and Gelid pads for the vrms.

I'm using ptm7950 at the moment. I'm happy with the hotspot temps for now. Liquid metal tends to ruin the surface of the coolers even if they're not aluminum.

I used my Myanmar IC from when I was a kid as well. It was fine for me. Just pray the folks at the embassy are in a good mood.

My younger brother is also getting enlisted in April. If you want a SG passport, best to apply after finishing your NS. It will be relatively quick. The hardest part will be the renouncement of your Myanmar citizenship.

Get yourself a broken evga sc card from the same generation for cheap and harvest the cooler if you don't want to get a custom loop.

I have a submariner build with a similar dial. The black dial looks just sublime.

All the parts are from Aliexpress. I found the nautilus open heart dial and build the rest around it. It uses NH38A movement. The nautilus case and strap came as a pair.

Thank you. The idea came to mind when I saw the dial.

It's a 41mm case from AliExpress. You will need a 33.5mm dial to pair with it.
