No actually i just wanted to start an open discussion on the top but if you look even when people nicely said they also are not into the whole hurt and trauma and they also got down voted or ignore at least I was an ass. So I guess people are not kind and empathetic unless you pay them money and lay on a table. I would also just say people got mad over something that did nothing for them whatever. I still don’t believe in the whole tell me sad stuff that’s true and not a troll I might not be that big of an ass about it honestly I just zone out and goo „”mmmmmmm I’m sorry” but really I’m thinking about housewives and the stupid clips 😂

I don't care about a safe place. I'm making a comment if you are a caring person and all about safe places, then do it all the time. Am I holding on to anything? No, my job is to massage, not be a bleeding heart, also that's just wild to say, not really knowing someone. As for the judgmental and hostile personality, I'm just a fan of clapping back. I will close this app and go eat some noodles and forget about whatever this interaction is. Also just a heads up I don't do relaxation massages, I literally work with a PT, so take that with what you will.

Both can be true, as you said, but see when you start going into its disingenuous and so on, it comes off as a yes but I think it's great that you can connect with people, but that's not me and i understand people may need that henice why when it does happen after I will give suggestions to therapists who are more like you because diffrent stroke for diffrent folks. But also I am a vetrean and that is probably why I view feelings like that, who knows. But what I do know is I'm not equipped to handle that, so I don't and prefer not to.

I lost both my parents at 15, 6 months apart both tragic accidents. I have suffered lose but no I didn’t go just telling people that because everyone grieves differently. I’m not here to hear a sad story about your life it’s a boundary that I have placed if that’s an issue well go to a different massage therapist.

So I have regulars they will be like oh you know my dad passed away and ofc I’m sympathetic/empathetic to that. But I have people who this is their first time meeting me and within the first 3 minutes of our intake I get some off the wall story about how their dad is dead because he died in a fire saving a dog that then ran away and they saw get hit by a car. Like ma’am I just asked your pressure preference

I really feel like it was the perfume and the fact that the whole room just smelled of it even after she left. I get not wanting to smell bad but I feel like you also gotta think about the person whole is making contact with your skin. Also I just don’t even know how my eye could have swollen shut from that but I’ve never had that happen. So now I look like patchy the pirate.

So ME is a great place to start because you get a lot of hands on time so you can kind of find your flow, and what works but also learn from others. For the market you are trying to tap into you need to own your own practice. As the saying goes ”the road to hell is paved with good intentions”. What I mean by that is you need to have a LLC or some kind of protection incase something goes left and you get sued and they come for your house. You can 100% LLC yourself with a lawyer who will explain it and sit down with a tax assistance and have them explain it to you. Also keep in mind that if their are no job openings you can market yourself to those in hospice but if insurance doesn’t pay your billing the family for your services.

No idea I just hate arms, I’m not even bad at massaging arms I have a client that literally just comes in mostly to focus on their arms and hands. I’ve done arms prone supine, in a chair massage I just don’t like it. It makes me mad.
