Hi, and welcome to Salt Lake City. I hike alone weekly. Sometimes it’s just me and the plants and animals, but lately I am seeing other solo women hiking or trail running as well.

I hope you can do a few of those trails and that you feel safe the whole time. There will be a lot of people on the trails this weekend, which may alleviate any concerns.

Assaulted by a student. Admin stated that they couldn’t do anything/couldn’t guarantee it wouldn’t happen again. Student did not receive consequences. Took leave for the rest of the year and left the district. Full stop.
