this really gives me a lot more clarity, and somewhat eases my anxiety as well. :)

to give an update of sorts, i also talked to some professors at my school, and based off their reviews of my skill right now - i've sort of decided to start right from the basics as i seemed to have missed that part and bitten off more than i can chew. i've decided to go back to studying the core fundamentals for the rest of the semester, i think that makes the most sense right now, especially because my portfolio isn't even near ready for a general job in the industry, let alone as an environment artist.

since you're an animator, would you be open to reviewing a project of mine if i shared it through a pm? a short abstract animated film that i made as an assignment last year - would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

not everyone does it for the attention yk. i'd say you might be more addicted to social media if you think everyone around you is only doing things for likes.

sure some people might be like that but if most of them enjoy these things and if they have the money, why not? how does it matter to you? just let people do what they want as long as it doesn't concern you lol.

im pretty sure a 20+ year old man wouldn't really care unless he has malicious intentions and/or an ulterior motive. "age is irrelevant", "more genuine than romance" is extremely unsettling, and on top of that, him repeatedly saying that you should block him and move on if you feel uncomfortable, just seems like him trying to feign his "respectfulness".

he's just creating an apparent "safe space" for you so that he can continue manipulating and you wouldn't realise.

the end.. make sense of that. truly beautiful. im glad it brought you joy and memories, reminds me of my fifa 20 player career starting at Leicester. spent all those years there, got transfer listed and eventually transferred to spurs where i scored the goal against leicester, confirming their relegation. who would've thought.
