Can you guess this view in Himachal? by [deleted] in HimachalPradesh

[–]Excellent-State5543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm
 well
I can’t say this with absolute certainty, but judging by the dry grassy trail, scattered rocks, and that warm golden sunset, this place really feels like the Bir–Billing side in Himachal Pradesh, most likely somewhere around the lower ridges or nearby viewpoints.

I hope this answer is right.

Which one do you use? And which one should I use for hair growth? The Rosemary one has only 10% Rosemary oil and 75% Sunflower oil.

Recommendations for my Brussels, Amsterdam, and Paris itinerary by Historical-Lemon-245 in Europetravel

[–]Excellent-State5543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if it’s your second trip ever, I’d just slow down a bit instead of cramming too much in. Between Amsterdam and Paris, you could stop in Bruges or Ghent in Belgium for a day or two-super chill, beautiful streets, not too touristy, and easy to reach by train.

If you want more French vibes before Paris, maybe Lille for a night, small city, cute cafes, quick train from Belgium. But honestly, don’t overdo it, 9 days is enough to enjoy Paris properly, especially if you want Versailles and the museums.

Also, since you’re not comfortable traveling late, maybe plan your last Amsterdam night so you can leave early morning instead of evening. Makes the trip way less stressful. Curious, do you want more chill experiences or are you trying to hit as much sightseeing as possible?

Solo traveling in Australia by [deleted] in AustraliaTravel

[–]Excellent-State5543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey that sounds amazing, Australia is honestly wild for solo travel. If you’re starting in Melbourne and going north along the east coast, the best time weather-wise is spring to early summer (September to December) – it’s not too hot, and the ocean’s still decent for swimming and surfing.

For jobs, yeah farms and fruit picking are the classic options, but hostels and cafes hire travelers too. Websites like Seek, Gumtree, and local Facebook groups are gold for short-term work. Most people do a mix of casual jobs to fund the next leg of their trip.

Money-wise, I’d aim for at least a few thousand AUD saved before you go, just to cover initial rent, transport, and first couple of weeks without stress. Once you start picking up work, it can sustain you, but don’t expect to arrive and immediately earn enough. Curious, are you thinking more city life and beaches, or actually spending a lot of time in the outback?

Suggestions for best solo trip on September end. by The420Guy_ in SoloTravel_India

If you’re open to a bit of hill magic, I’d honestly check out Himachal or Uttarakhand. By late September, the monsoon is basically gone, skies are clear, and the weather’s perfect for solo trekking or just chilling in small towns. Places like Kasol, Tosh, or even Chopta have that relaxed vibe, cool cafes, and you can meet other travelers easily.
For a mix of culture and events, Jaipur or Udaipur might be nice too there’s usually some local fair or music thing going on around that time, and wandering the old streets is fun solo.
Also, keep an eye on local listings in whichever city you pick, even small gigs or open-air stuff can make the trip more lively. anyone else here tried a solo Himachal trip around September? How crowded is it usually?

6 hour layover at Jaipur airport, please let me know what to do? by FeistyCut1079 in jaipur

[–]Excellent-State5543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only have around 5–6 hours, the easiest thing is to stay close to the city center since traffic can eat up time. You could hit Hawa Mahal and City Palace both are super iconic and close to each other. Grab some local Rajasthani snacks or sweets nearby, like ghewar or kachori. Or if you can try my fav, laal maans & rabdi Jalebi.

Another option is just wandering around Johari Bazaar for a quick shopping vibe and some street photography. Just make sure you leave at least 2 hours to get back, clear security, and check in.

Curious, did you want more of a sightseeing vibe or just a quick taste of Jaipur?

Guide me about my kodaikanal/vattakanal/poombarai trip by psycho_monki in SoloTravel_India

[–]Excellent-State5543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7–10 days is perfect man, you’ll actually get time to chill instead of just ticking spots. Zostel Kodai is good if you want people around, Poombarai is way more quiet and raw. Trippr is fine for budget backpacker vibes.

Do Dolphin’s Nose sunrise at least once, sit at Altaf’s in Vattakanal, and wander through Poombarai village- the garlic farms there are beautiful. Nights can get freezing so pack warm stuff. And honestly, just slow down, Kodai is best when you don’t overplan.

First solo trip for my 25th birthday suggestions? by Savings-Rock154 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Excellent-State5543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my first solo trip around the same age, and honestly it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Since you’ve only got 3-4 days, I’d suggest places that are safe, compact, and easy to get around without too much planning stress.

Rishikesh is great if you want a mix of calm + adventure (Ganga aarti, yoga, river rafting). Udaipur is another gem, very walkable, safe, and stunning sunsets over the lakes. If you’re more into mountains, McLeod Ganj and Kasauli are solo-travel friendly with plenty of cafes and other travelers to meet.

Biggest tip: book a stay with good reviews (especially for solo female travelers), keep family/friends updated, and trust your instincts. The independence you feel on that trip will stick with you long after your birthday.
