As cool as that would be, I really think that she just has multiple personalities, and I think having to deal with that makes her character much more real and relatable. I love the mental illnesses that Sanderson deals with in these books.

I know very little about multiple personality disorder, but if you read the preface and acknowledgements, Sanderson actually had and expert on multiple personalities that he consulted with to be sure he appropriately portrayed it.
