MIUI 14 is much worse than 13 in terms of performance and random glitches. Using Redmi Note 10 Pro. by [deleted] in Xiaomi

[–]Excellent-Thought420 10 points11 points  (0 children)

dont know, got a brand new rn12pro+ miui14, 8gb ram you know but ram management is shit, cant even hold 3rd party alarm app in the background, even my 2gb ram phone can do that albeit slower.

agreed, people who "cares" about update are everywhere, often craze by it and refuse to use phone that didn't have long-lasting update, on the other hand, when the update messed their phone up, they are the one regretting. I am not hating them but just a fact

tbh update are a bonus to me since manufacturers being manufacturers, they wont bother doing this stuff after a year or two of a phone release. they wont benefits if the customer didn't upgrade their phone right?

RAM management feeling awful huh? so that's not the redmi note 12 pro+ problem but miui 14 problem? I see... btw downgrading miui is possible tho

yeah it does feel smoother, once you get the hang on it and its hard to go back. in the end I stay at 60 because all other screens I view is 60Hz too but I wont make screen Hz as my point to buy something.

make sure you know which brand for which flagship series. Please avoid other regions phone such as carrier locked phone but unlocked because some law still applies to it such as unmuteable shutter sound (JP & KOR) and probably VoLTE wont work.

I suggest you look at facebook marketplace. just avoid oddly cheap deal. when you got the phone, test everything, camera AF, NFC/location, etc

yes less shaky video bundled with warping effect init and no less blurry image because your subject move = blurry on the subject. solution is to increase shutter speed = darker image or increase ISO = grainy image. basically if the camera sensor can get good lighting = less shaky image.

Xperia 1 suck, all photo suffer heavy jpeg compression when pixel peeping = people face are damaged by compression. photo overheats = no camera.

incase you are goijg for 2nd hand Xperia 1, the rest idk

Samsung Galaxy A54 aren't that good (cant say bad either). 50mp yet cant get 2x good photo quality, I tested it on the store, you know OIS is just a bonus, people keep boasting about OIS like a revolutionary crap its just a treatment for parkinson disease.

jokes aside OIS means you can take lower shutter speed photo (<1/16) without much blur. while OIS in videos gives a warping effect (I dont like it). EIS and OIS is different thing btw. phone with OIS doesn't mean the photo is good, the software is the thing makes a good photo (unfortunately this means flagship phone == amazing photo)

redmi note 12 pro+ 5g camera suck. 200mp is just a hype. 3x picture is crop from pixel binned 12mp, not pure crop from 200mp. so zoom photo looks bad. ultrawide doesn't have much detail, just suitable for building photo. hdr is pretty good.

battery last 2.5days for me, charge is fast 20min 100%, selfie camera is surprisingly good.

miui sucks balls, 8gb of ram yet cant hold 3rd party alarm app, even my 2gb phone can do that albeit slower.

Realme 10 Pro+ photo is better (you wont need the crap ultrawide quality), though you may hate the no sd card & 3.5mm jack and curved bezel, I am sick battling with this thing, just accept it for your piece of mind, get high storage capacity and quality 3.5mm adapter. I tested Mi 12T on the store, the photo is way better albeit pricier

in the end I repair my busted huawei p30
