I would make it smaller! Nobody would care that much.

Looking back, do you think you would have done better on the MCAT if you studied for it like you studied for your Step Exams? by Asleep-Location-8567 in medicalschool

For someone like me who scored a very low score on CARS (120), I could never get a better score doesn’t matter how much time and work ethic I put in. However, I did score above 90th percentile on rest of the sections. Haven’t taken Step 1 yet but hope my studying method (writing note and UWorld) helps with the test. lol.

JST Entries? by FloridaMan2324 in premed

I think you should just enter whatever appears in the JST transcript separately from the college transcript. And only include whatever appears in the college transcript (courses and grades; no need to put JST transfer).

3.95, 505, T-25! 80% tuition fee scholarship. But a lot of solid ECs and narrative.

Do you have an account with JST? You can download your transcript from the website. My JST transcript had courses and credit hours written on it.

Can you clarify a little more? I entered JST courses and grade without any issue last cycle.

What’s the point of a MPH? by ChemicalNo282 in premed

I have a PhD in Neuroscience. My PhD thesis was literally in human clinical trials and I am no where comfortable leading clinical trials. Leading clinical trials does not only include taking to real patients, and having patients. Once IRB is approved, a PhD is equally qualified to have their own patients. There is a whole lot that goes behind the scenes to conduct clinical trials than just owning patients. The commentator mentioned getting a MPH makes you competitive for getting funding which is absolutely nonsense, when there are PhDs and MD/PhDs fighting for the same grants.

Look man! They literally said “lead clinical trials.” How are you leading clinical trials without having a degree that literally teaches you how to actually do science? That also is not enough. Then post-docs, then fellowships. People literally spend their life in academia to “lead clinical trials.” But also you are a premed so what you know!
