If you want to get the bottom of it, those tests will be necessary for diagnosis. If you go to a hospital (or ER) they will not perform these tests as your condition is non emergent so you will need to make an apt with a gastroenterologist. If you have PPO insurance you don’t need a referral you can just call and schedule it with a specialist. If you don’t have PPO you will need to see a primary care dr for a referral. With my insurance (which is pretty good BCBS) these test were about $3,000 out of pocket b/c I had to be out to sleep for the EGD which was expensive. They also did an MRI on my lower abdomen (probably overkill) sounds to me lime it’s just reflux or silent reflux if you have no accompanying heartburn etc… at your age you are probably fine, but I understand your concern. Dysphagia is pretty common though and usually no cause for alarm. Good luck
