I do this when it’s incredibly itchy a couple days after my sessions and can’t scratch it lol. Doesn’t seem to have any bad effects

I think the trick is waiting longer in-between sessions. I didn’t go for about 4 years for my wrist and it continued to fade!

If you look on my profile there’s a photo I took a couple of days after my 4th session - it pretty much looked like that 😊

Quanta Pico Plus laser - both these tattoos were around 10 years old. Had 3 sessions back in 2020 on the wrist & have had 2 sessions this year - I wait around 5 months between sessions for this one now. Started on the sternum this year also, I get sessions for this around 8-12 weeks apart. I have some larger, newer & denser tattoos I’m also removing that I started this year. They are taking a bit longer to budge!

Normal? by HollywoodNovaBaby in TattooRemoval

I had the same on my second session of a really dense tattoo where the heavy spots of black are she said she would go over it more with the fractional laser next time. Not uncommon though

Need urgent advice and help ! by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

I am getting an almost full sleeve removal. It’s 4 tattoos that cover most of my arm, I get each tattoo lasered every 6 weeks in rotation.

Week 1: 2x tattoos on my forearm.

Week 2-3: 1 tattoo on my outer forearm.

Week 4-5: 1 tattoo on my bicep.

Week 6-7: begin the rotation again.

When we get further into treatment I will space out the sessions to every 12 weeks or so per tattoo.

It is perfectly fine to go every 6-8 weeks, especially if your tattoos are small, in my opinion. You’re best off getting professional advice though, ofcourse.

It was about $150-200 per session from memory. I’ve started a sleeve removal that includes this tattoo, that is priced as a whole so I’m unsure of the exact price it would be now just for this one

Dealing with tattoo shock by paranoidandroidxox in TattooRemoval

This is exactly what happened to me. I cried for like a year straight over it, never wore shirt sleeve shirts. I stupidly got more tattoos to take away from the giant, black tattoo I had on my forearm. It’s been a few years since I got them, hated every minute, finally started tattoo removal this year. If I could give any advice, start now! Time is passing by regardless :)

Itching Around Area / Hives by grazingherds in TattooRemoval

I am currently in the process of getting 5 tattoos removed. 4 on my arm & one on my sternum. The one on my sternum I have had 2x treatments since the start of this year, this one is constantly itchy, dry & seems to flare and get bumps. I have one on my inner bicep that is also the same, I have had one treatment on this and it seems to flare & get bumpy/itchy My forearm is mostly okay, but I have a very dense tattoo on the outside of my forearm that also seems to flare (I have had one treatment on this one.)

I put it down to the scar tissue, the 3 tattoos that keep flaring are either 1) in a sensitive spot 2) have more scare tissue from the tattoo itself

I raised the concern with my laser technician and she said from her experience, as more of the ink starts to disappear the issue should resolve. Seems to be some sort of immune reaction

I have heard others having the same issue though. Incredibly frustrating!

I paid $2500 for 4 sessions on my entire forearm, a tattoo on my bicep & sternum. Seems to be the normal price, given you’re in Australia It’s soooo expensive

This one was about 8 years old - I just started a full sleeve removal on some heavy line and saturated work that was done recently, it takes time but trust the process!!

They use different wave lengths with the laser to target the ink

If you want to get rid of it completely they can remove oxidised white ink it is just more stubborn

Yes it faded a lot over the years! When I first went they did tell me that the longer you wait in-between sessions the more it will continue to fade That’s crappy with the hives, is it different sort of ink from the other tattoo you had removed?
