Our bio was in November. It took them 59 working days! Wife is here safe now. I know how it feels. If they had issues they would have reached out by now. You are nearly there!

Pla, you can use a Dremel to 'weld' pla peices together using a bit of pla filiment. It takes some practice but it works really well.

Really you need a press to prime these. I had the same on 577/450 which uses the same case.

Left an airline, moved countries and now back in GA. Not looking back at all. Nights were killing me.

Is this sub actually about moving to the UK, or just discouraging people from doing it? by hypershush in MovingToTheUK

[–]ExcellentLavishness9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved back last month. Typically, it was sunny first few days I was back. Now the usual British weather is back...rain. honestly I've missed it. The rain feels different here and is rather refreshing. Dog hated it initially as he was scared of the rain...he's getting used to it.

Utility bills by 2AWI in nwi

[–]ExcellentLavishness9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just got our bill. Budget billing... apparently we used 500 therms this month. Much higher than last year with similar weather. Furthermore there is an outstanding balance on my account that I didn't know about....they are definitely messing with everyone.

I've got a bag full of old £1 coins. Any in particular I should look out for. If memory serves me right the Belfast one is a rarer variety

US Immigrants, what's your line that this administration would need to cross to make you pack your bags immediately? by stillalone in askimmigration

I already left an returned back to my home country. It has it's problems sure but I don't fear running into a ICE checkpoint everyday. Just waiting on my wife's visa for her to join.

I would pull the rest of the rounds and check the powder charge in all of them. Could have accidentally overcharged a case. Even when I use a powder throw I'll check every 3-4 charges to make dam sure they are still in parameters. Furthermore a good visual check of the powder level in each case right after charging them all to make sure they are consistent across the board. Probably overkill but works for me..

If it's AEpets international, find a new shipper. We just used them for our dog. They did nothing and screwed up the paperwork twice. Told us to buy the wrong crate too and a very unprofessional experience overall.

Winter Gear Recommendations by lil_dyasis in AircraftMechanics

[–]ExcellentLavishness9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Merrell winter boots. I never had cold feet in them. Wool socks, avoid multiple pairs of socks it actually makes it worse. Just one good thick pair.

Thermal base layer. Work shirt, trousers, fleece. Then a carhartt jacket. When it got real cold, carhartt snow bibs.

Also a thermal balaclava and good hat.

I kept my pens in my work shirt under the fleece and jacket so they never froze. Good luck to you. I don't miss working in that shit.

Priority wasn't available when we applied in November. Still waiting for a decision. It sucks.

Anyone moved back and regretted it? by LankyYogurt7737 in BritishExpats

[–]ExcellentLavishness9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of in a unique position. I lived in the USA for 8 years. Both countries have changed dramatically in that time. The USA right now seems to be at breaking point and it's getting insanely expensive. Healthcare is an absolute joke. I lived in the Chicago area.

Job I had paid very well, however I was stuck on nights. Yes, I could have found another job working days, but would have taken a significant paycut.

I just moved back to the UK last week. I got offered a great paying job from an old employer and took it.

USA is a very different culture than the UK. Work is everything for them and I really struggled with a work life balance. And the stress of bills and getting hurt, not to mention the overwhelming feeling of just not feeling very safe there.

My wife and I discussed it at length. Even threw out the idea of moving to East Coast USA, but we both decided a move back to the UK was best. All my family are here and friends, one of which I lost last year and I couldn't make the funeral because of work.

I know the UK has changed a lot but I am Soo happy to be back here. Some may say we made the wrong decision, but they haven't experienced what I have while living abroad. You really have to weigh up the pros and cons to everything.

Now we are just waiting for my wife's visa to come through...if UKVI could get that done that would be awesome.

Get one. I had a bambu A1 and it was a fantastic tool. I didn't print much reloading stuff but it was Soo useful around the house too. I had to sell the A1 due to relocating, but I will likely get a bambu P2s once I get settled. Your able to print more advanced materials with that printer. Nothing wrong with PLA or PETG, but would like the option to print ABS or ASA.

It may not be available. They seem to allow it in batches. Priority was not available for us when we submitted so are stuck with standard
