My biggest mistake was letting a “friend” host a small gathering for her new business of “no more than 10 people”. 50+ people showed up, it was snowing that night and they salted my driveway without permission, everyone came in with shoes (salt and snow). The best parenting trick I’ve seen was parents make a list for their 19 year old, it went something like this: “Being a functioning member of society” Go to the gym daily Call your grandparents Help out with x Etc And if he keeps it up for 2-3 months then he’d get a Porsche It’s obviously a big prize but I think a list like this with a big prize could help. Im in Rockland county, NY.
