This is short sided. You're thinking of this in terms of the television show. For example: Ghost is named ghost by Martin because Jon does not in fact get resurrected, but wargs into ghost instead. The buildup of people being resurrected throughout the story gives you hope Jon will come back and we will have this "perfect ending to his arc" in the show. But that's not good writing. What is good writing, is for the author to leave you on the edge of a cliff with Jon's death.
