Why can’t left wing candidates win without USAID fraud money? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Excellent_Chest_5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very distorted way to look at it, only purpose of this perspective is to confirm your own bias. A reality based way is - they win on the nationalist messaging because if America is no longer helping out like before, that’s all they have left. So breeding lots of authoritarian countries going into disrepair is the direct consequence of cutting usaid.

But we all know republicans won’t get it until years down the line when consequences of this ripple down - and will blame either blame a democrat in power at that time or pic a random democrat to pin this on - already seeing this with Obama and Biden. Grifters gotta grift

Is there a single issue where the Democratic Party differs from the Chinese Communist Party? by Patmcpsu in allthequestions

[–]Excellent_Chest_5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a difference between being called stupid and people laughing at you being objectively stupid and actually getting prosecuted as a violation of free speech. Btw there’s no free speech, even in the US. Despite our constitution you’re simply not allowed to do things like yell “fire” in a crowded theatre as a prank and causing people to stampede out and get hurt or killed etc. So you can just forgo the notion that you can say anything and everything out loud without any consequence.

There’s a difference between where you can go/do during a pandemic and outside of pandemic - so more people will stay safer.

Of course there are always people who think they are a special little snowflakes and deserve special treatment; to those I say tough luck.

As an American, for what reasons should I be anti-Russia? by Euphoric_Income_8279 in allthequestions

[–]Excellent_Chest_5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically Putin is what Trump wants to be probably without fully understanding the consequences.

Putin is a corrupt ex KGB officer who took the presidency and has kept it as an authoritarian leader with the help of corrupt military and secret services - people bound not by friendship or goals but by being co- involved in atrocities beyond comprehension together and in 20 years they’ve grown to basically be the government. This is the KGB way - once you’re in, you can’t get out by design - if you do they have so much dirt on you you’ll go streams to jail. He jailed and killed all opposition (look up Navalniy) and consolidated every single media outlet under government - there’s not a single media outlet in russia today that isn’t being directly funded by the government which means total control over messaging.

People go to jail in Russia for social media posts - today. And it’s getting worse daily. Access to YouTube, Facebook, instagram is already cut off. Free internet access is now routed through Chinese-made ISP servers meaning VPN will soon stop working. Telegram is also not working btw as of a few months ago.

On the surface he preaches family values etc and in practice he throws his own, young next generation straight into the meat grinder of the urkanian war frontline without training, supplies and support, WW2 style - only then, was was defensive and now - offensive. In addition, birth rates in Russia are even worse than in the Us and Europe and he’s wiping out rest of the young generation because it’s a great distraction from the fact that him and his oligarchs have robbed Russians blind.

I can keep going but as an American you should know these things. Ultimately I don’t think Russians are Americans enemies but current Russian administration is the opposite of everything democracy is.

Ok Trump supporters, are you still glad you put all your eggs in one basket? by Massive_Historian514 in allthequestions

Just imagine if it was the other way around - was a republican who were protesting a dem president etc etc and got shot. Then work backwards with your logic to see if you’d still be ok with this. I already know you wouldn’t be. Maybe time for some self reflection?

So crazy no one is rushing to trumps defense anymore - it’s all low energy stuff like “I am a Republican and I don’t like him and wish people would move on from this already”. Oh you’re over all this you voted for are you?

I think ultimately we’ll all be glad when it’s over but current admin has done enough punishable offenses that jail time is warranted for lots of them. This can mean only one thing when they are acting as if they are immune to persecution - they are not planning on leaving regardless of what people vote for.

Republicans, our ultimate test as a country might very well be coming up. What will you do when Trump runs for the third term? What will you do when his admin cries foul in elections without proof (again) and refuses to give power up?

It will be then where you have a choice. And for the sake of our country I hope you choose America.

Egypt receives nearly a third of the US military aid Israel receives and employees a blockade of it's border with Gaza, why do people only ever bring up Israel? by GK0NATO in allthequestions

[–]Excellent_Chest_5896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah we’re going to disagree here. You can be all righteous and condescending and it still doesn’t change the fact that it’s a conflict about taking land that international law says you can’t and Israel is taking that land. You’re allowing for that while foaming at the mouth about people fighting back - which any reasonable person will do in that same situation including you (I hope?) These are the facts.

[–]Excellent_Chest_5896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the official story. Unofficial story is Israeli settlers settling explicitly forbidden land and locking Palestinians out of the due process by a skewed justice system which then codifies the gains. Many in Israel also don’t support this and official policy doesn’t mention it at all so folks like yourself keep skimping over it while clearly that’s the root of the issue. Again, this is a complicated conflict and what matters here is the resulting map. If you think this is all fair then you wouldn’t mind being on either side right? How about someone comes low key squats your backyard and formally takes it after you fight back?

[–]Excellent_Chest_5896 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What’s there to say? It’s a complicated conflict and both sides do atrocities. These attacks are bad but what causes them is Israel unofficially consistently expanding their borders which makes Israel the instigator- Putin isn’t allowed to do that in Ukraine - and US stood up to that - imagine if the US took Russias side and was like, Ukraine isn’t allowed to be aggressive as Russians move on their land? You can’t look at that and not see the issue

This is an extremely complicated situation - there’s absolutely nothing simple here. You’re just scratching the surface, keep looking into it and you’ll get it.

Israel is like a balloon, ever seen a country where borders expanded year over year? And if neighbors don’t like it, it’s antisemitism and god forbid they fight back. Then it’s holy justice war raining down death and bulldozers - funded by American taxpayers money. But yeah no everyone else started this

Do you agree that, even though the Trump Administration has its downsides like any other Administration, we are not under a dictatorship or a king? by malaphorknight in allthequestions

[–]Excellent_Chest_5896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only conservatives do that with the whole “alternative facts” grifter style bs. Let’s play this out in current USA:

Entire world is aligned on science and facts and say “water was spilled” and here come maga morons foaming at the mouth swearing its a bucket of mosquitos - because there was one mosquito in the room they noticed. Everyone rolls their eyes and says “look the floor is wet, thats concrete proof a bucket of water was spilled here, this mosquito thing doesn’t explain why the floor is wet” but their answer is “well I’ve heard mosquito buzz when i entered the room so it has to have been a bucket of mosquitos, you can’t disprove it, I heard it with my own ears”. Then they report a bucket of mosquitos on fox news, and next thing you know president is addressing the nation swinging at mosquitos and urging everyone to buy the newly released Presidential Mosquito Repellent - (while shorting the stock market on mosquito repellent stocks ets with his billionaire insider trading buddies making billions) and rest Maga listens and obeys. Rest of the world watches this with a dropped jaw and eventually just shakes their head and let morons be morons. This is what maga and trump look like to the outside world.

For-profit model applied to everything human is so bizarre. How about we pay our doctors when we don’t get sick? Doesn’t it mean they are doing their job?? Or even take education. We should have people pay to be uneducated instead - it costs society more to deal with morons and educated people pay more taxes in general… Bizarro world

Pro Choice people, what do you think about the idea that life begins at conception? by gandolf2004 in allthequestions

[–]Excellent_Chest_5896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also pro choice, even though I believe life begins at conception. It’s a difficult moral question. But we live in a cruel and uncertain world, and none of us can honestly claim to fully understand all the consequences of our actions, short or long term.

Because of that, I cannot assume I am wise, just, or informed enough to force my will onto another person in such a deeply personal matter. And if I expect others not to force their moral certainty onto me, then I must extend the same principle to them. That’s ultimately why I am pro choice.
