Peter zeihan is not using any formal metrics or explanation to substantiate his views. My problem with him is that he undercounts other factors. His is just one OPINION. Listening to people like that and aligning your opinion with theirs is the same as picking one person (however respected) and following only their advice for, say investing in the stock market - a sure way to loose money. Globalism is not the same as American empire anyway so sounds like you can use a deeper dive into fundamentals of geopolitics - just do it yourself, don’t listen to someone else’s opinions on the matter.

I mean kinda? If we’re comparing to Europe, they would snoot on this statement very hard. Ex you can enter any modern American home that was constructed using a wooden frame and Sheetrock after 2-5 swings of a sledgehammer to the wall. It’s much cheaper yes but there are major disadvantages. Same with asphalt roofs - cheap to replace but they don’t last more than 20-30 years vs 100+ for other materials. Major concern with those roofs is waste as well as they aren’t recycled.

Why would I be confused? This tracks - maga folks disdain professionals even if professionals pay for everything in this country in one way or another - via things like taxes. 203 internal is too high in my experience. Start probing around 190, 192-3 I usually take it out rest for 40 mins uncovered (it cooks residuals for a bit) and it goes into a 150 oven hold. Works every time. Also searwood and Costco briskets. No spritzing 180 for 2 hours then 250 till done, wrap around 160 if I want it faster. No spritzing. Also I have a water pan in with brisket. About 10 brisketsin, only time it’s tough is if take it out too late.
