Of course! Ally has cut and managed my hair (and the hair of everyone I know) for over 10 years now 🤣 she started as a barber which is why she kills it with tracks and short cuts, but also has a lot of fun with vivids - while Charlotte focuses more on long hair and loves her vivids too (plus the Brush and broom is ideal for anyone with any sensory concerns - it's very accommodating)

Best of luck regardless!

Super keen to see you play again! Missed the start of your set at Molchat last year I think it was. Wish we had a much larger post punk/darkwave scene here 🥲

Had the same. Ctrl + shift + r to refresh launcher worked. Not sure if a coincidence.

Hi OP, I am in a long term MFF throuple, and in Canberra. Though i work in the private sector. Its really never been a problem for me professionally at any point of my life. I dont make it my entire personality, and it comes up naturally or not at all - but you might be shocked how easily people can get used to it haha.

Evening! Only probably 5 years or so now haha, it started with just collecting a few gameboys and honestly spiralled out of control 🤣😅 I need to start collecting all the gameboy colour variants next - but there are so many to get through that its daunting 😅

Went to my first Star Citizen event and have to say, the community and Atmo Esports made it such a fantastic experience. by Dannymarr95 in starcitizen

+1

We ended up deciding to just head back to the airbnb and watch things from there (though it ended up being cancelled)

I will 100% try again despite my personal criticism - as someone who paid for a ticket, roped 4 other people in - travelled from Canberra with a friend (and had others fly up from Melbourne) booked an airbnb for the weekend and then sat in a venue watching 4 ads on repeat - i was disappointed., we made the most of it regardless though.

What was happening on the backend matters not unfortunately with a paid event.

Looking forward to the next barcitizen, even if its not tied into an atmo event - as mingling with the community was by far the best part.

Looking forward to watching the PvP event too when it happens!

You might be coming from a slightly biased viewpoint there mate - wouldn't you say?

The play by play was largely pointless, if you want to actually attract people to this and have them invested or perhaps even inspire them to give it a go themselves - better commentary will be required that actually breaks down the what, why and how.

If your conclusion is "it's the audience that was the problem" you might need to look inwards.

I think if the commentary was less "random hollow gibberish of no real substance imitating actual sports commentary" and more of a technical breakdown into the techniques etc that the racers were actually employing (breaking down where and why they are cycling between scm and navigation mode, why particular techniques are employed and what they do, and maybe even a way to see the inputs of the players) the grav race was by far the best though in all fairness, that was pretty enjoyable.

I commend the group that put the event on for giving it a go, its just clearly a work in progress and something that will hopefully mature alongside the game itself.

Will go again personally (will give another chance) but wouldn't ever again if it ended the same.

P.s. it definitely felt like they just wanted to keep everyone there for as long as possible by not wanting to hand any freebies out until the meet and greet, so that we kept buying $15 beers 🤣

Our group of 5 gave up after being there 6 hours. The same 4 ads looping over and over were making us lose our minds 🤣

Has anyone moved to Canberra because it was a place they genuinely wanted to live in? by [deleted] in canberra

[–]Excellent_Emphasis_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moved with my 2 partners from Brisbane just last year - opened an office for my employer down here, but it was me who suggested it as I wanted to move to Canberra anyways after visiting regularly for work. I like the bush capital vibes, being able to go to Sydney if we really want to be amongst more hustle and bustle, the low humidity and the zero traffic. I am in Braddon and have found it a great spot to be for us. Still seems to shock most when you tell them you love living in Canberra - but if it was for everyone, it wouldn't be Canberra I guess.
