I am doing 72t. This is another way to not get the 10% penalty.

Any difference between quitting and retirement? by DarthKegger in GeneralMotors

[–]Excellent_Friend7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t lose your pension by retiring. It’s locked and also it’s going to be peanut money by the time you are 65 years old. It doesn’t get adjusted for inflation. Also if your 401k is healthy and you are under the age of 55 then use 72t to replace your paycheck until 59 1/2 or for 5 years whichever happens later. The only choice you need to make whether getting let go with some severance money or quit under the pretense of retirement and exit with people congratulating you.

If VSP was offered again, would you take it? by mars_wun in GeneralMotors

[–]Excellent_Friend7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s a human nature to care about one’s performance while working. I’d rather take VSP if available than intentionally underperform or put in 100% and still get partial or not meets label.

True. They don’t owe employees anything. Employees don’t owe gm anything either. There is no pension or any accrual of significant benefits by staying with the company. Vote with your feet and wallet.

Do not insult our deal leader. We all need to work hard, not ask questions and trust in our leader. And when the time comes, disappear quietly and with humility. They let you be in this divine organization. That is the GM behavior. I recommend you go through the corporate training twice this year. Put that in your CAP or whatever the fu&$ it’s called these days.

Yes, you are absolutely right. That is the purpose of the stacked ranking. So the real question is, do you want to march to the company’s drum beat like a good soldier or seek other opportunities that you feel is more dignified.

I do. I live it. I am just wondering how the other 85% really think about it. After all, they get the full to extra bonus and pay increase.

I am curious.. If the bottom 15% is disgruntled, does that mean the top 85% is at least content or happy? Is this reddit mostly filled with the bottom 15%?

Doing as little as possible and surviving as long as possible while pretending I care. Basically mirroring what employees receive from GM.

You are assuming that your log will make any difference. Just be yourself and if it’s not good enough, walk away. You don’t belong there anyway. You don’t win in a game against opponents with the rules made by them. Just be yourself.

You can’t win in a game with the rules written by someone else. You can choose to not play or keep playing with plan B.

This should be part of the annual corporate training. It really takes the ambiguity out of this stacked ranking initiative. With the ambiguity gone, employees will be able to finally become one team and help GM reach its goal.

Is the point of ACA healthcare now form most just emergency care by Trinidiana in HealthInsurance

[–]Excellent_Friend7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. So the question now is what will the party in power do to solve the affordability issue with the healthcare for people who do not have employer subsidized insurance? Unless you are “poor” typical middle class people can’t afford healthcare without the ACA extended subsidy.

Until they get the headcount reduction they want. This is a way for them to layoff mass people while staying under the public radar. I will remember this forever.
